Eligibility For CAT


CAT (Common Admission Test) is conducted every year for admissions to the premier B-Schools of India like IIMs, FMS Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, IMT Ghaziabad and many more..

The CAT is an online exam in which you need to select your date and time slot in the given range of dates available for choosing..

For instance, this year the CAT dates could be chosen anywhere between 11th October,2012 to 6th November,2012..

There were 2 time slots available per day..one at 10:30am and the other at 3:15pm..

CAT exams are conducted by one of the IIM each year.
This exam is conducted for admission to the IIM.
CAT scores are also used by many institutes to shortlist candidates for GD/PI.

ELIGIBILTY- Graduation pass in any stream with minimum 50% marks for General and OBC candidates
Minimum 45% marks for the SC/ST candidates

CAT exam for the year 2012 is already over on 7th November 2012

Next CAT exam will be held in the month of October 2013

So, if interested you can start preparing for the Next exams

Questions will be asked from the below sections in this exams;
>> Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation;
>> Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning

CAT stands for Common Aptitude Test for the entrance of Indian Institutes of Managements. Its an Common entrance test conducted by Indian Institutes for the admission in Management courses after Under Graduation at ALL INDIA LEVEL.

Basically CAT is one of the entrance test for the admission in best management institutes of India.

It is an Post Graduation course Entrance. You can apply for it when you have completed your Basic prelims and your Graduation i.e Under Graduation.

Basic Eligibility Criteria for CAT appearance:-

1. Must completed Basic Academic studies (12 and 10 standard) with at least 50% aggregate(concession are provided for SC/ST ).

2. Must completed Under Graduation in any subject with at least 50% aggregates.

CAT STANS FOR COMMON ADMISSION TEST, THESE TESTS ARE conducted by iim's for admission in various best colleges for mba,

for mat final year graduation and graduates can apply , one must have to get minimum 55% in graduation for cat

written exam consist of verbal aptitude, logical reasoning, quantitive aptitude, and data interpretation, scoring good marks helps to get a good college for mba and chances for high package are higher

Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks is the minimum qualification needed for CAT.

For reserved classes there is relaxation of 5% marks.

So get yourself prepared for the examination as a result of the competition in CAT is incredibly tough and the very best percentiles get admission into IIMs.

CAT Pattern:

CAT is conducted in online mode.

Hence you want to follow mock tests on Internet to get use to it.

Questions will be objective sort in nature and there will be negative marking.

Following sections will be there in the exam:

-Data Interpretation

-Quantitative Ability

Common Admission Test or CAT is the entrance exam conducted on the annual basis during the months of October and November. The Common Admission Test is conducted in the window of 21 days.

This entrance exam is conducted for admission in Master of Business Administration course or the post graduation diploma in management which is considered equivalent to the post graduation MBA degree.

The entrance exam is conducted under a rotation policy by the Indian Institutes of Management. These colleges are considered best for business studies in India. Indian Institutes of Management offers post graduation diploma in management.

Getting admission in Indian Institutes of Management is not easy. But the good thing about Common Admission Test is that its not only Indian Institutes of Management that accepts the candidates through it.

CAT Stands for the Common Admission Test.

This exam is very famous and This exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management, Indore this year.....

A candidate who have completed their Graduation Degree from the Recognized Universities in any discipline can apply for the CAT Examination....

A candidate must have secure at least 50% or Aggregate marks in their Graduation degree....

Aggregate CGPA in would be 5.5 CGPA at least........

CAT is all India national level computer based test.

which is held by IIM (Indian Institutes of Management) for MBA Courses.

CAT Exam is held in November usually on third sunday of November

Common Admission Test (CAT) is an entrance test for admission in Management Courses.

You must have above 50% from your qualifying degree..
CAT stands for COMMON ADMISSION TEST for MBA to all the leading colleges in india.
for IIM,XLRI you have to score above 98 percentile
for other top 20 colleges top 90 percentile

I think any degree holder will eligible to write the CAT exam.You must have passed the degree with minimum 60% marks for OBC/OC,55% marks for SC/ST students
