NDA examination is taken for the admission in the Indian Navy, Indian Army and Air Force wing of the NDA. N.D.A :- National Defence Academy Examination

Eligibility for Air force :-

This examination is conducted by UPSC Twice in a year as namely N.D.A I and N.D.A II.To apply for Air force examination,you must have a finished your 12th examination with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects to apply for this examination.Your age limits for this examination is 16.5 years and 19 years at the time of appearing,upper age limits is given to the various reserved categories.

Those who are completed or appearing in the final year of 12th examination can also apply for this examination.If you have a maths and physics in your examination then you are eligible to apply for Air force but you have not a physics and mathematics in your examination.Your not eligible to apply for Air force examination.candidates must be physically fit to according to the physical standards to National Defence Academy examination.

Candidates should have a minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms.

There are some selection procedure such as:

Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recuirt the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA)

Generally,the notice is published in the month of March and September every year.

Eligibility Criteria:

Age:

i)19 to 23 years

ii)19 to 25 years for CPL Holders which is issued by DGCA ,India.

Upper age limit is relaxed up to 25 years.

Marital Status:

You have to be Single.

Nationality:

You have to be Indian

Gender:

Men and women can apply for the examination.

Educational Qualifications

1:You have to be Graduate of 3 years course in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.

2. Final year students can also apply,having no backlog and minimum 60 % aggregate marks in the previous year's semesters.

National Defence Academy i.e NDA Exam offers candidates to join in Indian Air Force and for this exam you need to satisfy the eligibility criteria.

the national defence academy admits aspirant to army, navy and airforce. The academic requirement for all the three fields remains the same . The aspirants should have completed 10+2 exam . For navy and airforce the aspirant should have chosen mathematics , physics in their higher secondary course.
The physical standards required for the course varies with respect to age of the aspirant.
The weight that a aspirant should be depends on the height and age of the aspirant.The minimum height and corresponding weight of aspirant of age 16 is 152 cm and 42.5 kg. respectively . The maximum height of the aspirant can be 183 cm and the weight for 16, 18, 20 years age aspirant are 63, 65 and 67 respectively.
The aspirant who is wishing to join as pilot needs additional requirement of leg length - 99 to 120 cm , sitting height - 81.5 to 96 cm , thigh length- maximum 64 cm .

The minimum height to required to join air force Are:

Leg Length
Minimum- 99 cms.
Maximum- 120 cms.

Not you cannot appear for the NDA Entrance Exam after your 10 Standard. To appear for the Exam you need to first complete your 10+2 from a recognized board. The notifications about the exam are published in the employment newspapers or it is updated in website.



To appear for the exam the age limit is from 16.5 to 19 years. If you are willing to opt for Army wing then you need to complete your 10+2 with any discipline from a recognized university. If you are planning to opt for Air force or Naval wings then you need to complete your 10+2 with science and Maths as your discipline from a recognized board.


Only Male Candidates are allowed to appear for the examination , female candidates are not allowed to appear. You must be Unmarried.

You must be a citizen of India (or) a Subject of Bhutan (or) a Subject of Nepal (or) a Tibetian Refugee.

You need to have a Good Eye sight and must be Physically fit .

The Selection of the candidate is based on Written, Medical test and personal Interviews. The main exam is divided into General Ability and Mathematics and the Duration of the Exam is 150 Minutes

The General Ability is divided into 6 parts:

>> Chemistry
>> current events
>> General Science
>> Geography
>> History
>> Physics

Paper I will carry 200 marks and Paper II will carry 600 Marks. Negative Marks will be given to all the Wrong answers so be careful in marking the answers.

You can apply for the NDA online and the application form will be available online only.

Physical Standards: Minimum height-157cms for men & 152 cms for women with correlated weight.

Your Chest Must be well Developed

Your Abdomen must be well developed without any enlargements in the liver and spleen.

There should not be any past history of mental breakdown or fits.

Your blood pressure must be normal.

There should not be any sign of functional or organic disorders in the heart or blood vessels.

There should not be any disease in bones or joints of the body.

Eye Sight. 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses for tech branch & Submarine Cadre and 6/60, 6/60 correctable to 6/6, 6/12 with glasses for the Naval Architecture Cadre.

National Defence Academy Examination is one of the prestigious examination to appear for Defence Services after completing Intermediate examination .

To applying for NDA examination , your age should have a minimum 16 1/2 years and maximum 19 years and there is no relaxation given to the reserved categories applicants . To apply for NDA Examination , you must holding the Higher Secondary Level(12th) exam of a recognized School , final year of 12th applicant's may also eligible to apply for this examination .

• The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms. ( 162.5 cms for Air Force )
• For Gorkhas and individuals belonging to hills of North Eastern regions of India, Garhwal and Kumaon, the minimum acceptable heights will be 5 cms. less.
• In case of candidates from Lakshadweep the minumum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cms.
