What kind of Education is offered in NDA? Procedure to join for 12th student?
Friends,
After my 12th I will join NDA. Kindly tell me how I can join NDA? And what education they provide? Please reply as soon as possible. |

NDA i.e National Defence Academy Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year for admission to Army wings, Navy wings and Air Force wings.
Eligibility Criteria: You should have completed intermediate in any discipline from a recognized school or equivalent qualification. You must have attained the age of 16.5 years and must not have attained the age of 19 years. Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. Those who are wiling to apply for Indian Air Force or Navy then they should have completed 12th with Mathematics and Physics as mandatory subjects. No age relaxation are applicable for reserved categories. The examination will be conducted in the month of April and August. This year exam notification has been already released. Last date for receipt of application has been already closed. The next notification will be published in the month of November or October in the official website of UPSC as well as Employment newspaper. The application forms are received only in online mode and there is no offline mode of application forms. The online application forms will be available at the time of notification. To join in National Defence Academy after completion of your 12th standard, you need to appear in NDA examination. The NDA examination is conducted by UPSC twice a year and the eligibility criteria required to appear in NDA examination is mentioned below :-
1. You must be a citizen of India. 2. You must have attained the minimum age of 16 1/2 years and the maximum age should not exceed more than 19 years. 3. Educational Qualification :- --> For Army Wing :- You must have completed 12th standard or equivalent from a recognised board. --> For Air Force and Naval Wings :- You must have completed 12th standard or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics subjects from a recognised board. 4. You must be an Unmarried Male candidate 5. You must be Physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the UPSC NDA examination notification. |

Procedure for NDA exam:- 1.Written test 2.Physical test 3.Medical 4.Interview Written test is conducted by UPSC but other 3 steps are conducted by SSB. NDA stands for National Defence Service exam. NDA Examination is conducted for 3 wings-Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Army. Candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam. Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19.5 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates. |
