Re: Minimum qualification for Aeronautical Engineering admission?
Well the criteria for admission in Aeronautical Engineering is same as other branches of Enginering. Aeronautical Engineering deals in design and maintanence of the aircrafts. All the flying objects that remains inside the orbit of the Earth.
After competing Aeronautical Engineering course, you can design helicopters, commercial aircrafts and even fighter jets. As I mentioned earlier, the criteria for Aeronautical Engineering is same as other branches. Firstly you need to complete 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the subjects. Then you will have to apply for the Engineering entrance exams. Now please beware if you are planning to apply for Engineering in 2013, then you should know that AIEEE and IIT-JEE entrance exams will be scrapped from 2013 onwards. They will get replaced by a new entrance exam called ISEET. Ministry of Human Resources and Development aims to replace ISEET with all existing entrance exams in India for Engineering. However there is some hurdles in convincing several states to accept the new format. Therefore in its initial year, ISEET exam will be accepted by the Indian Institute of Technology and National Institute of Technology. Ministry of Human Resources and Development is hoping that more universities will soon join the exam. ISEET Eligibility 1. 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as subjects. 2. At least 40 percent marks in 12th board. |

Re: Minimum qualification for Aeronautical Engineering admission?
The Minimum qualification/basic eligibility for BE / B.Tech program is 10+2 Sc (with Physics, Chemistry and Maths) or equivalent examination with a fairly good percentage of marks.
Several technical universities including the IIT offer courses in aeronautical engineering both at undergraduate and post-graduate level. For M.Tech program in aeronautical engineering one should have completed degree in (BE/BTech) aeronautical engineering or any other equivalent branches of engineering. |
