dear friend,
for getting admission in aeronautical engineering, there is no restriction on the marks of 10th class but you will have to get at least 60% marks in 12th class to get admission in topmost colleges.
the best colleges for aeronautical engineering in india are iit and nit colleges. for getting admission in these colleges, you will have to give aieee or iit jee exam and get very good marks in those exams.
polytechnic students can also take admission in these colleges. but there is no lateral entry in iit or nit colleges. so they will have to take admission in first year only by giving aieee or iit jee exam.
scholarship is given to the toppers of the college by the college itself and to those students whose parents are very poor.

To be an aeronautical engineer one should have a graduate degree (B.E/B.Tech.) or at least a diploma in Aeronautics. The degree and postgraduate degree courses are offered by the engineering colleges and Institutes of Technology (IITs), and the diploma courses are available at polytechnics.

The basic eligibility criteria for a BE / B.Tech is 10+2 or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must have a fairly high percentage of marks in the aggregate. One must also pass the qualifying exam JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) conducted by the IIT's.

Selection : Selection to the graduate courses ( BE / B.Tech ) is based on merit i.e the marks secured in the final exams of 10+2 and through entrance exams. Entrance to the IIT's is through 'JEE' (Joint Entrance Exam) and for other institutions through their own separate entrance exams and other state level and national level exams. Most of the institutes conducting engineering courses in Aeronautics consider JEE score as the qualifying grade.

There is also the Associate Membership Examination of the Institute of Engineers (AMIE), which enables working people in the private and public sector, or diploma holders to acquire a Bachelor's engineering degree through distance education by studying the syllabus and appearing for the Associate membership examination of the Institute of Engineers (AMIE) conducted by ASI ('The Aeronautical Society of India'). This degree is equivalent to aeronautical engineering degree. Those with a degree in electronics, mathematics or physics can also find opportunities in this area.

Some Institutes offer postgraduate (M Tech) and Doctoral (Ph D) programmes in Aeronautics. The Madras Institute of Technology offers a three year Graduate Programme in Aeronautical Engineering for B Sc students, subject to their having passed Maths and Physics at the graduation stage. The Indian Institute of Science (IIS), Bangalore has M Tech and Ph D programmes in aeronautics.

Duration : The duration is four years, ending with a degree recognised by the ministry of education, government of India. The diploma courses are of 2-3 years duration.


Aeronautical Engineering is offered by the Indian Institute of Technology in Chennai, Mumbai, Kanpur and Kharagpur and also by the Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. HI,
For aeronautical engineering you have to pass the 12th with minimum 50% marks.
After this you have to qualify the entrance exam that is A.I.E.E.E, I.I.T-J.E.E etc.

After passing B.Tech in aeronautical engineering you can apply for job like:-
I.A.S
I.P.S
AIR FORCE
AIR INDIA
NAVY
ARMY
etc

Aeronautical engineering is among the top branch of engineering..

For admissions in top college you have to qualify the A.I.E.E.E or I.I.T-J.E.E, I.A.S.T exam..

All the exam which are mention above is national level exam..

The minimum percentage require for eligible in these exam is 60% in 12th class..

Aeronautics Engineering is the branch of Engineering which deals with the study of Aeronautics and Space Science. Its one of the toughest known branches and doesn't have much scope in India.


The Basic Eligibility Conditions to study Aeronautical Engineering are ::


1. You should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school or state board in India with a minimum 60% aggregate in it.

2. 60% is the aggregate which is the least that is compulsory to get to be eligible to study any branch in Engineering.

3. You should crack any one of the Entrance exams to get admission in any good college in India.


Thus some of the top Engineering Entrances which are organized in our country every year are :

IIT JEE, AIEEE, DCE CEE, WB JEE, BITSAT, UPTU, COMET K, etc...


Now coming to your query about the Good colleges, IIT's are considered as the best for Engineering. BITS is another good college.
DCE is also not bad when it comes to good teaching and best Placements !

So you have to crack any one of the Entrance exams mentioned above so that you can get admission in any good college.


The fee structure is much more and high in the Private colleges as compared to the government ones.
The government colleges would charge you around 2-3 lacs for the whole B.Tech course, which the private ones would charge you around 10 lacs!


Thus, placements are also better in the government colleges.


Scholarships are also available but they are on the basis of in which college you get admission. I don't think any government college would give any scholarships, however the private ones do.
