Re: MPH future in karnataka in govt and private sector?
Dear friend
don't worry or get confused regarding your decision of taking up MPH. it is a very good course in the present scenario, wherein, lots of food scarcity problems have come up across the world; particularly in India. also India is categorized in the medium and low level when it comes to the public health and sanitation. hence job opportunities are there for you. only thing is you got to score up well in your subject. And yes, college reputation does matter. hence select the best college, possible. the best colleges in this field are listed below: Institute of Health Managemnt Research (IHMR), Bangalore. this college is listed among the top 10 colleges in MPH. and if you are a student of arts; then opt for master of arts- public health. coming to the job opportunity, it is there in both govt and private sector. but govt jobs would me mostly research oriented one. and to get into it, you would have to write the UPSC exams or the public service commission exam, offered by your state. there is another option of taking up MBA in Public administration too. and almost all business schools, and even those in Karnataka, would offer it, provided you got to get admitted in a good business schools. for that you would have to prepare yourself for CAT, MA, GMAT,XAT etc. well, if you are an arts student, then go for master of arts- public health |

Re: MPH future in karnataka in govt and private sector?
I have completed BAMS MPH recently. Now I am searching for job but they all are asking about experience. Being a fresher how can we have experience in the field of public health? If any organization offers me to work on the bases of honorarium, I am ready to work. If you are knowing any such opportunities please suggest me.

Re: MPH future in karnataka in govt and private sector?
Dear counsellor,
i have completed my BDS from karnataka... now i am applying for a masters in public health ( mph) in manipal university, karnataka.. do u think its a healthy decision? i mean i am very passionate about public health n everything that people work in regards to it.. its like a dream to work for the WHO , travel throughout the world and maybe do further research in epidemiology... my question is it a good career perspective monitarily considering the fact that i wont be practicing dentistry any longer? n will manipal university be the rite choice to give me a platform to follow my dreams??? or should i have opted for some foreign university? guide me pls :) hoping to hear from u soon :) thank you !! |
