Please tell that which bachelor degree is better:- ARCHITECTURE OR CIVIL ENGINEERING ?

SCOPE (in government jobs)
PLACEMENT (from campus selection)

I think architecture is better than civil engineering in all aspect.

Architecture and civil engineering profession which always go together and work in the same field of construction industry .generally its the architecture who makes the plans of the buildings and the civil engineer who builds it.
SCOPE:
There is more scope for the civil engineers these days because of the number of ongoing projects going in the country .an architecture can not work in any kind of construction fields they have only some specific area of expertise but an civil engineer has to work in all the area so there is surely more demand for an civil engineer than the architecture graduate.
PLACEMENT:
As far as India is concerned there is surely more opportunities of jobs for an civil engineers in India than an architecture exactly because of the reasons mentioned and described above .
EARNINGS PER ANNUM:
The earnings per annum of an architect is surely more than an civil engineer if he is an famous and well known in the market,also in the initial stage the earnings of an architect is surely more than an civil engineer but getting that initial job is very tough

Both are equal... so select on the basis of reputation of the college in which you are getting these 2 fields.

Placement and pay package depends a lot on the institution from which you graduate. An IITian would be offered a much higher package than a gratuate from a average college .. of the same discipline.

So chaoose according to the college.

In terms of scope .. civil engineering has a broader scope as it includes construction of other than buildings also.

my son completed s.s.l.c with 92% marks and opted pcms in in puc, kindly give the scope in future if he selected civil engineering.

Both degrees are related to construction field. Architectural job involves planning and designing. Civil engineering includes developing the plans and then doing the construction. Both professions are equally demanded professions. The scope and annual earning is more for architects than the civil engineers.

Both are good courses. Both have good placements,scope and earnings. You can do anyone of these two courses.

Besides Personal interest, in terms of scope, placement and earnings CIVIL ENGINEERING is best.
In Government sector there are lots of SCOPE in civil engineering such as in UPSC AND STATE PSC conduct examination for JUNIOR AND/ OR ASSISTANT ENGINEER. Other government sector which conduct examination for hiring Engineer and/or Mangement TRAINEES such as NTPC, BHEL, BEL, ONGC,HPCL etc. You must check continuously the website WWW.FRESHERSWORLD.COM.
Some COMPANIES goes for on campus selection in 3rd and 4th year of B.TECH
In government sector initial salary is 1.2 to 1.8 lakh per annum. In private sector it increases as your experiance increases. It reachs upto 3.6 to4.2 lakh per annum

My son is getting admission in Ayojana Shool of Architecture, Jaipur. He may get admission in Civil in 'Manipal Engg. College, Jaipur chapter. Which will be better

Civil engineering and architecture are different fields that cannot be compared as such.
Architecture is more of creativity and civil is the application part of that creativity, so i think which one is better depends on your like and caliber and should be choosen accordingly.

THough in terms of scope in government sector i would prefer CIvil engineering over architechture in the current scenario.
