what is the percentage of BDS marks required to get govt jobs? is it totally based on BDS percentage or any entrance exam will be conducted?

1)For Government job you should have minimum 55% and then Entrance Exam will be conducted by the Government for selection the Student for jobs

-->Grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Army Dental Corps Entry

2)If you want to enter into Government job, you should write the exam for selection,in private if you have more the 75% or 80% you are selected easily

For careers pertaining to government jobs, you need to apply for exams conducted by public service commissions of states & the union govt in the field of choice. You will get employment as per your rank in the merit list. There is no lower limit of marks, but as many jobs are vacant, only that many selections will be done. Reservation is available for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, EBC etc. Get the details from the state public service commission's office in your state's capital

There is not as such hard and fast percentage criteria in any government sector ... but you must make sure that you have atleast 60% marks in your BDS degree.

You just have to clear the test of that particular job and interview.

HI!
If you want to join Army Dental Course then you have to pass B.D.S with minimum 55% marks.

If you want to do I.A.S/ I.P.S/I.F.S/C.D.S then there is no hard and fast rule of percentage.
After passing B.D.S you can apply for these post.
