Re: What is the percentage marks required in 12th to get a job in Government sector?
For most of the government jobs they do not ask for percentage. There was time when they asked for 12th as the minimum qualification but now trend has been changed for most of the job its graduation. Means a candidate must be graduate from a recognised university to apply for the job. If wish to become Police constable or LDC then 12th is ok but if you wish to become officer then complete graduation then apply for the job. Buy employment news for more updates on jobs.

Re: What is the percentage marks required in 12th to get a job in Government sector?
The government jobs are not offered on the basis of aggregate in 10+2 aggreate or the academic aggregate.
So, to get the job you have to appear and qualify in respective entrance examination. After 10+2 you are eligible for SSC CHSL, Railway TTE, NDA, IB jobs. So, you can appear for examination as the required qualification to appear for these examination is that candidate must have passed 10+2 from recognised board in any discipline. For more details about age limit, examination syllabus and pattern visit at the official website. |

In order to avail a government, you don't need to score very high, you should try to at least score above 60% in aggregate as most of the government look for candidates having scored a minimum of 60% in their +2 level. however, it is only the minimum requirement, you should try to score as well as possible in order to stand a good chance of getting selected on merit basis(if eligibility is so).

There is no specific percentage of marks required in order to apply for Government jobs after passing senior secondary. Even if you have got passing percentage of marks in 10+2 then also, you can apply for following government job entrance exams.
1. NDA/NA exam: Age limit is 16.5-19.5 years. Only male candidates are eligible to apply for this exam. 2. Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level examination. 3. IB Security Assistant Exam. 4. Police Constable Entrance examination etc. |

Re: What is the percentage marks required in 12th to get a job in Government sector?
After completing your 12th standard you can opt for various government jobs. But for that you have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
> You should have completed your 10+2 from a recognized board. > Minimum 50% marks is required in your 12th examination. However, in some some government sectors it is 55% and relaxation of 5% is given to SC/ST candidates. > Age limit is 18-30 years for some positions it is 32 years and for SC/ST candidates it is 35 years. There are different entrance examinations conducted for various positions, so if you fulfill the eligibility criteria and clear the entrance examination successfully then you can get good jobs in government sector. |

Re: What is the percentage marks required in 12th to get a job in Government sector?
As per my knowledge you will need minimum of 50% in class 12th for getting a job in government sector. After passing 12th you can apply for clerk post, railway jobs, SSC CHSL, stenographer, Multi tasking staff, NDA etc. But in my opinion you should complete your graduation first. After completing graduation there will be more opportunities for you. Thanks
