Re: Percentage required in 12th to become a Pilot?
well if you want to be a pilot
you can choose to be a Airforce pilot or commercial pilot In first case cases if you have 60% or above marks you can appear for NDA, and then join IAF, however you need to have a very good physical condition, For commercial Pilot you need to have a only passing percentage of marks and then you should join some flying club and enroll as a trainee pilot, and complete around 250 hours of flying experience, and then you can apply for commercial pilot license and over a period of time you can go on to be a second officer and then the captain. and also get the chance of flying Boing etc. |

Re: Percentage required in 12th to become a Pilot?
Hello friend,
Basically there are three ways to join the Indian Air Force as pilot but with the qualification of +2, you will have to write NDA exam conducted by UPSC twice a year. After qualifying the NDA exam, you will be trained for three years by Indian Air Force. The three year program at NDA is equivalent to any other bachelors degree program. The minimum eligible age to write the NDA exam is 16 1/2 years. The maximum age limit is 19 years. If you have qualified +2 level of examination conducted by a recognized board, you are eligible for the exam. no matter how mush you have scored, but you must have studied physics and mathematics at +2 level. For further information, refer to the official website of Indian Air Force |

There is no specific marks necessary in class 12 to become pilot. But you should pass with PCM. But you should clear NDA exam conducted by UPSC. Thereafter you will called for PABT/SSB interview as further process. Please proceed further and achieve you goal. We wish you all the best. Regards, Ramjash |

Re: Percentage required in 12th to become a Pilot?
You have an option to join IAF or commercial airlines. The percentage required for both will be different. For applying for the IAF to become a pilot you need to write the UPSC exam. The minimum percentage for appearing for this exam is 60% in +2. Now to become a pilot in any of the commercial airlines, you need to get a pilot license. For this you need to join any of the pilot training schools in the country or abroad. The minimum cut off percentage of these institutes depends upon the institute. Usually it is 50%.
