If you want to become officer in Indian Army, you must apply for National Defence Academy entrance exam and clear written test and Service Selection Board to join Army wing of Defence.
Eligibility criteria for NDA exam: 1. The minimum academic qualification required for this examination is senior secondary examination from a recognized board. 10+2 appearing candidates can also apply for this exam. 2. Age limit: 16.5-19.5 years. 3. Marital status: Unmarried male candidates can also apply for this exam. You can visit http://www.upsc.gov.in for any more details. |

Basically, to be an army officer after higher secondary level of education a candidate has option of entry through NDA ( National Defense Academy ) and TES ( Technical Entry Scheme ).
--> But being a commerce stream candidate you are not eligible for TES as for the same one has to pass his higher secondary education with PCM stream with a minimum of 70% aggregate from a recognized board. --> So you are left with the option of your entry through NDA for which you need to qualify NDA entrance examination which is organized twice every year in two stages which includes Written examination and SSB (Service Selection Board ) interview respectively. --> Also for appearing in the NDA entrance examination the minimum qualification which you must possess are as here under :- * You must be an unmarried Indian male candidate. * Your age must be within 16.5 years to 19.5 years. * You must have completed your class 12th with any discipline from a recognized board. Students pursuing going to appear in their Class 12th board examination are also eligible. * You must have the fitness as provided in the notification chart of same examination. For more details and updates regarding the same examination you can visit the link www.upsc.gov.in. |

Np, issue even though you are pursuing 10+2 with commerce stream you are eligible to appear for NDA entrance examination.
Candidates after appearing and qualifying in NDA examination are eligible for selection as an officer. So, you need to appear and qualify in entrance examination. The male candidates passed or pursuing in 10+2 with any discipline from recognised board are eligible to appear for NDA entrance examination for selection in Indian Army. But you are not eligible for Air Force and Navy. To get other detail about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |
