after correspondance BCA is it possible to appear in GATE entrance? as i m in my last year of BCA m i eligible to appear in GATE entrance? and what r the required percentage in 10,12,BCA for entrance of GATE?

My friend after doing BCA you can not appear in GATE exam.. For appearing in GATE exam you have to complete your PG course in MCA..
After completion of MCA you can appear in GATE exam..

To appear in GATE exam there is no such marks percentage is required..
You just complete your Post graduation course first to appear in GATE exam.

BCA students are not eligible to appear in GATE examination.


if you want to appear in GATE examination then after BCA you ahve to do M.Sc then you will be eligible for GATE examination. for GATE examination minimum of B.E/B.Tech or M.Sc degree is required. as the GATE score card validity is two years some time B.Sc students also appear in GATE examination.

BCA candidates are not eligible for GATE examination.because B.C.A is bachelor of computer application and its is not engineering degree.

GATE i.e Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

The entrance examination only for Engineering/Technology/Architecture and Master degree candidates are also eligible.

The Master degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Computer Application or equivalent qualification.

So,After completing your master degree your eligible for GATE.

no.you are not eligiable in the Gate exam.

GATE eligibility is given below

1.minimum graduation in engineering.Final year & prefinal year btech students are also allowed to appear in the gate exam.

2.M.SC students are also eligible to attain in the gate exam.

3.MCA holders are also eligiable. but BCA holders are not eligiable.

you are not eligible for GATE exam because the GATE exam criteria is

1) you must have completed b-tech degree
2)you must be completed masters degree in science departments.
3)MCA are eligible

so after completion of your MCA degree you are eligible for GATE exam.

Sorry ,friend BCA students are not eligible to appear in GATE .

To appear in GATE examination then after BCA you ahve to do M.SC because for GATE examination you have to compleate B.E/B.Tech or M.Sc degree from a recognise univercity.
