M.COM from IGNOU she is eligible for UGC net exam please give me information in detail manner regarding eligibility of the UGC Net Exam

Yes,you can apply for NET after passing Post Graduation degree from IGNOU .

NET stands for National Eligibility Test . It is an entrance examination conducted by UGC (university grant commission) at national level for the candidates who wishes to get teaching jobs in government university.

Eligibility for appearing in NET are as under :-

-The candidate must be an Indian.

-The candidate should have completed Masters degree in related subjects with minimum 55% of marks.Final year appearing student can also apply for the exam.

-There is no upper age limit to apply for the NET exam .

Application Fee:

General category candidates: Rs 1000

OBC candidates –Non Creamy Layer: Rs 500

SC/ST/PWD/VH candidates: Rs 250

Pattern of Examination:

The questions will be asked in the form of MCQ (Multiple Choice based questions) in the following major subjects –

1) Life Sciences

2) Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences

3) Mathematical Sciences

4) Chemical Sciences

5) Physical Sciences

6) Engineering Sciences

Total Marks: 200

Total Exam Duration: 3 Hours

There will be negative marking for wrong attempts as per the subject wise scheme laid out for this exam.

Definitely you can go for the NET examination. Ignou is recognized university. The Eligibility for NET EXAM is to have a Post graduation degree in any stream from a recognised university with minimum 55% marks.

Post graduate from IGNOU is eligible for UGC NET exam.

For JRF (NET): Maximum 28 years (Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ Physically Handicapped/Visually Handicapped and Female applicants)

You have completed M.Com degree from IGNOU so you are eligible for UGC NET exam because IGNOU degree is recognized by UGC.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test.

The educational qualification required for NET exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for NET exam.

There is no age criteria for NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years.

IGNOU stands for the Indira Gandhi National Open University. It is recognized university for every entrance exam and degree obtained is valid.

So, you can apply for the National Eligibility test after doing post graduation from IGNOU. You must have minimum of 55% marks if you belong to general or OBC category and 50% marks in master's degree for SC/ST candidates to apply for the exam.

You can apply for Lectureship through NET at any age but for Junior Research Fellowship, the upper age limit is 28 years.
