ISRO conducts an entrance exam for recruiting engineering students as scientists. Notification is usually done through ISRO's website, IIST - newly started engineering college under ISRO as well as through other employment newsletters. Candidates need to fill in applications online, it is usually done in the month of February. Minimum cut off percentage in engineering is 65%. Final year students are also allowed to take the exam in March 2011 provided they can submit the certificates by August 2011. So it seems you can try for next years ISRO exam.
