sir I m 12 passed student with pcm 73% I want to know is there any procedure to join merchant navy accepted joint entrance exam

yes you can join merchant navy as deck cadet.you have to go 1years pre-sea training.

there are many institute which conductes direct addmission to varios course,

you can do b.sc.(nautical science)

can u suggest me how can i apply it this course and when???

but sir i don't know abt institute and which is better one. can u tell me which institute is best for joining merchant navy and Is their any other course for technical in merchant navy or engineering

Hi rahul , you can do bsc (nautical ) and you also selected as deck cadet in merchant navy , but you also can do by any private institute .

The candidates should be less than 20 years of age on the commencement of the course and should have minimum 60% of marks in P.C.M. at 10+2 level or 55% marks in the B. Sc. and should be below 22 years of age or should have passed BE/B.Tech. from a college recognized by AICTE and is below 24 years of age............

you have got good chances of joining the merchant navy,
trs chanakya in Mumbai is a good institute to join,
you can try there
you can also try in some university from Russia because the merchant navy course in that part of the world is really good.

5)lal bahadur sastri college of advance maritime studies and research.

these are the institutes which have there own entrance exam followed by an interview.

you have to appear for exams conducted by different comapnie like :-

torm
anglo eastern

and pass the interviw and the medical exam.

there are two ways to join merchant navy.

firstly to write the exam held by the IMU which is the concerned authority for merchant navy in india , on selection it send the candidates for the training in some of the reputed academy in india and also is a way to join some of the foreign ship companies and to work for them.

secondly is to join any of the private academy ,but you should make sure that it is DG SHIPPING approved and they should have good placement .
so the choise is yours.

after 12 you can appear for different entrance exams conducted by different companies if you clear all the exam then you will able to get on the ship.....

no there is no problem of age but every thing has limit after 20yrs you are not eligible to for NDA

-age should be not more than 20 for both married and unmarried candidates
-completing 10+2
-selection is based on the joint entrance examination given by IIT.(written test and interview)
-two training programs and candidade choose one

Hello Sir,
I am sorry to say that the age limit to join any part of Merchant Navy is 19-23 years.
As you exceed the age limit, you may not apply for any post..
