SYLLABUS FOR THE TEST:

The syllabus of the question paper shall cover the following major topics :- Criminal Law including IPC and Cr. PC, Constitution Law, Evidence Law, Prevention of Corruption Act, Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, Information Technology Act (IT Act) & Central Vigilance Commission Act


After you clear the entrance test you will have to appear for an Interview and also a physical fitness test

CBI recruits their own staff 30% remaining they fill by the deputation from other CPO's and state police.

• QUALIFICATION- Graduate for the post of SUB-INSP through S.S.C.

CBI officers are Indian Police Service (IPS) officers..

• IPS officers are selected through UPSC civil services exam. Minimum eligibility for this exam is graduation.

There are two ways to join CBI :
1. SSC test conducted by CBI
2. CSE exam conducted by UPSC.

In both the exams, graduation is the minimum eligibility and you must be in the age group of 21-30 years.
Other than these, there are some physical requirements :
Height -
Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) - 160 cm
Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm

Chest -
Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.

Eye sight - 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.
Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye.
The correction is by lenses only.
High standard for the Colour-blind test.
No inherent night blindness.
Vision should stereoscopic.

Blood pressure (High) - Age 23 - 123, age 24 - 124, age 25 -122, age 28 - 124, age 30 -125, age 32 - 126, age 34 - 127.

Ladies should not be pregnant at the time of Medical Test.

Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity.
1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels.

To join CBI(Central Bureau of Investigation), the minimum educational qualification is graduation. We can know the vacancy details, Postings through leading magazines, jobportals like employment news. We have to apply for that initially, then we should appear on Test which is conduct by SSC(Short Service Commission). Once you pass the test, you have to undergo the mental ability test and interview and if you are selected in above mentioned tests, you will undergo medical test.

Crime Branch CID (Criminal Investigation Department) is a specialized wing in many state police forces in India of their Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Other branches of the CID are

• State Crime Investigation Bureau
• Finger Print Bureau
• and Scientific Section.

To join in CID you need to write the EXAM conducted by UPSC...!!
and minimum qualification for that is to be Graduate..
