You can get it from books of 'upkar prakashan' , 'pratyogita darpan' and competitive science vision of pratyogita darpan.

is there some books which has all the previous year question papers of the ies exam.the government site provides only previous one or two year question papers

tell me on which subject i should concentrate more like structural or geotechnical to get more marks in ies paper.and also how many hours should i prepare regularly

ies book from G.K.publications is best suitable for preparation.first of all you should concentrate on non structural papers like soil,irrigation.concrete technology,environmental eng,foundation eng,building materials.......reason behind this you can get direct questions than structural papers where mostly indirect questions.......so that u surely get minimum qualifying marks............all the best.

Exam Pattern Civil Engineers-

The IES Exam consists of 1200 mark selection process. 1000 marks for written test and 200 marks for Interview.

IES Exam Written Test: 600 marks for Objective test and 400 marks for Conventional test.

General Ability Test consists of General English and General Studies

Objective Test Papers consists of following papers:
General Ability Test: 200 marks (Two Hours)
Civil Engineering Paper I: 200 marks (Two Hours)
Civil Engineering Paper II: 200 marks (Two Hours)

there has been talk that this year there is an aptitude test in ies this year.is it true?

no,
there is no change in the ies exam pattern for this year,
the pattern is going to be the same

after writing the exam what i found was that the exam asks questions from every topic,
but even then special importance should be given to pert and cpm,because there are many questions from them and are very easy to answer

dear friends,

if you are really serious about the preparation of the ies examination then

i will suggest you to buy the two books.

one from the GK publication and other from the made easy.

both the books is sufficient for the preparation of the ies examination these also

contains the previous year paper.

after BA i can give upsc exams
