First of all you need to take admission in MBBS course through any medical entrance exam. After completion of MBBS degree if you want to become an eye specialist then you need need to opt for MD in the same field.
Ophthalmologists are called eye specialist. They have MD specialization in Ophthalmology. Optometry is a different qualification which is paramedical course which will allow you to correct vision through glasses and lenses. |

If you want to become doctor in any discipline either Oncology or Ophthalmology or Dermatology etc, you will have to do Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from any recognized medical college in desired discipline. Earlier there used to be many entrance exam conducted for admission in MBBS course but as per latest Supreme Court order, now there will be only one entrance exam called National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test.
NEET is conducted by CBSE and for this exam, you must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology and scored at least 50% marks. You can apply for this exam and if you want you can also apply for EAMCET. |
