For pursuing any technical degree course at undergraduate level, you need to have competed your Class 12th in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized board.

Further, to become a software engineer, you need to opt for computer science or Information technology trade for pursuing B.Tech ( Bcahelor of Technology )/ B.E. ( Bachelor of Engineering ) degree course.

To pursue software engineering course the required minimum qualification is that candidate must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main paper.

So, you have to complete 12th in PCM to get admission. Other than this you can have Computer Science and other paper in 12th.
