There is no specific subject requiement in school to become lawyer in India. Just finish your school with good marks in 12th and then you can apply for the LLB course.
LLB which stands for Bachelor of Laws is the bachelor level course you would have to do in order to become lawyer in India. There are two options in front of students after completing 12th. They can either go for BA LLB or complete graduation and then apply for LLB course. Now become I explain the difference, please remember that both degrees hold same value when looking for the job. One degree would not give any advantage over the other. The difference is that BA LLB can be done after 12th. It includes B.A. course as well. The duration of this course is 5 years. On the other hand to pursue 3 years LLB course, you would first require to complete graduation. This would take 6 years to become lawyer after completing 12th while in BA LLB you have become lawyer in 5 years. This is the reason why a lot of Law schools in India have moved to BA LLB course. The admission procedure for both courses is difference. To get admisison in BA LLB you will first have to clear the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) exam. While for LLB you can get admission based on your merit or by appearing in entrance exams. BA LLB Eligibility 1. Candidate must have completed 12th standard from a recognized board in India. 2. A minimum of 50 percent marks in 12th board. 3. SC/ST candidates need 45 percent marks in 12th. 4. You must have completed 12th before applying for CLAT. Since you would have to submit 12th certificates at the time of applying for the exam. 5. The age limit for CLAT is 20 years. 6. Age limit for SC/ST is 22 years. LLB Eligibility 1. A Bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized university. 2. At least 45 percent marks in graduation. 3. SC/ST candidates need 40 percent marks. |

Hello,
You need a law degree. The law school will tell you what courses are required and the number of electives you have to take. Typically the following are required: Torts Property Civil Procedure Criminal Law Contracts Professional Responsibility Legal Research, Writing and Oral Advocacy Tax You will need about 85 credit hours, depending on the school. And this is after finishing college..i personaly think subjects like Most definitely, they will ask for English and maths. Computing and history are useful to have as is at least one science. For the most part, aside from English, most universities want to see high grades in the subjects you've studied and they don't have specific prerequisites. you need to complete LLB and enroll before particular state bar council to become a lawyer You are required to complete particular state bar exam to practice law in that state. you also need to take law school for 2 years. Eligibility required: 1)Candidate must have completed 12th standard from a recognized board. 2)A minimum 50 percent marks in 12th board reuired. 3)SC/ST candidates need 45 percent marks in 12th. 4)You need to clear your entrance exam set up by the institution.
