hey. i am in 10th.i wanna go to nda in army.can i go there by opting arts? if i can g. which subjects should i take? please reply to my question!.

If you want to join Indian Army through NDA exam then you can apply for it if you complete your 12th with any subject. but for 10+2 tech entry in the Indian Army you must have completed your 12th class with maths and physics with atleast 70%

Through NDA student can go for ARMY,NAVY and AIR FORCE according to their vacancy.
To appear NDA you must be passed XII th with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics with 60% marks.Age between 16.5 to 19 years.

Well friend,

There is nothing compulsion that you have to choose Science subject for writing NDA,

because for writing NDA you have to be 12 passed or appearing with any field.

But its your tension that if you take mathematics as a subject in 11 or 12 then it will help you in future. But if you don't take Mathematics as a subject then you will be facing problems and you will take tutions or coaching for the same.

Therefore it is good if you take mathematics as a subject in 11 and as well as in 12 too.

Why i am forcing to take mathematics because in NDA exam comprises of two papers i.e one is General ability and another one is Mathematics.

Yes you can opt for arts but must prepare for mathematics from some coaching class, or if there is any provision to take optional subject in your 11 class then don't need to be worry..

it is good if you take mathematics as a subject in 11 and as well as in 12 too.

Me Ranjan and i am passing in 11th and due to my bad performance in SA1 i wouldn't take Maths and they are forcing me without result of SA2
My school is forcing me to choose any subject or stream without PCM but i want PCM only to join Indian Army and i have so passionate for selecting in Indian Army..... so what can i do ? Please help me because it is matter of my career

For NDA Exam,you must have passed 12th with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics with 60% marks.

Educational Qualifications for NDA in details:
For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Age Limits for NDA: 16 ½ – 19 years

i am a national certificate holder in taekwondo.......so wih a naional certificate how it can help me after engineering degree ???

you are gross out of age.....age restrictions for joininig nda is 16 1/2-19years...............but you can opt for cds exams....but as you are 10th passed,it seems unlikely that you will be able to make it to cds too......coz u'll be 25years of age then...........

In order to apply for the NDA exam , the minimum educational qualification required is 10+2 pass candidates with Physics , Chemistry , Maths with a minimum of 55-60% marks.

So , you should choose PCM as your subject after class 10th.

Apart for that the age limitation should be within 16.5 - 19 years.

Only unmarried male candidates can apply for it.

dear friend;-
you can not join ARMY AFTER 10 class.
because they requires candidate who has done their 12th class from a recognised board.
a candidate who has taken arts as his subject can not join army.
a candidate who has taken science as his subject can only apply.

you can not apply for nda BECAUSE OF FOLLOWING REASONS:
1)YOU MUST PASS 12TH CLASS
2)YOU MUST HAVE PCM AS YOUR SUBJECTS
MEAN THING IS that you must must pass 12th class . but you do noy pass . s
so it is very difficult for you to join nda .

you have to be passed in +2 class for joining indian army and the subjects in +2 must be physics and maths are compulsory and one other any subject.

Dear friend yes you only read 12th by SCIENCE with PCM.........

Because these 3 subjects are read only these subjects and give tvery important and you read and give NDA exam..............

1. PHYSICS


2.CHEMISTRY


3.MATHEMATICS

Fr giving examination of NDA you have to passed you 10+2 exam in any stream with 60% aggregate marks and you age eligibility is 18 yrs or above. For going to INDIAN ARMY you have not any restriction in 12 that you should take arts stream. You can select any stream and after passing 12 exam you can apply for NDA examination..............

You should take up Maths along with any other PCB, computers, economics etc . Maths is a must for the naval and air force wing of defense.

NDA requires you to be between 16.5 to 19 years of age.

You should be a 10+2 from a recognized board or school.

If you are interested for Indian Army of NDA then you may take Arts or Commerce subject after 10th standard.

NDA- NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for entry in to three wings of NDA i.e. Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.

For all three wings of NDA the eligible candidate must be an unmarried male within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age and for Indian Army wing the candidate should complete 12th from any stream, the final 12th exam appearing students are also eligible to appear for NDA.

• The candidate must be citizen of India.
• The candidate must be male person and unmarried.
• The age limit in between 16.5 to 19 years.
• The final year candidates of 12th class are also eligible to apply for this examination.

C.D.S. - Combined Defense Services.

Generally CDS consist of the following types :

1. Indian Army
2. Indian Navy
3. Indian Air force.

Eligibility Criteria :-

1. Age ::

19 to 23 years as on 01 july 2012 i.e. born between 2nd july 1989 to 1 July 1993(both dates inclusive).

2. Educational Qualification ::

Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed 10+2 th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

3. Physical Standard ::

i.) Height : minimum 162.5 cm and more than this
ii.) Weight : in between 60 to 80 kg
iii.) Vision : minimum visual acuity 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in another

NDA i.e. National Defence Academy

Yes, you can apply for NDA with arts background in 12th... it is not essential to choose some partical subjects in 12th, just complete your higher studies in any background, be it science, arts or commerce.

but prepare yourself well in Mathematics..because it is an important subject in NDA exam.

syllabus of NDA exam:-

Mathematics :- This paper consists of general mathematical topics till the+2 standard.

General Mental Ability:- General Mental Ability paper consists quesions from Physics (100), Chemistry(60), General Science (40), History (80), Geography (80) and Current events(40)

Pattern of Written Exam:-

Mathematics---300---2-1/2Hr
General Knowledge---600---2-1/2Hr

Eligibility criteria For Army Wing of NDA:-
