Re: Which subjects to do in Graduation for IAS being a Graduate from Delhi university?
All graduates are allowed to apply for IAS. The candidates can specialise in any subject that interests them. So you can select the subjects which interest you during the Mains exam. But along with that you should prepare for the CSAT exam too. This is an aptitude oriented test. Only those who clear the CSAT exam will be called for the Mains.

Re: Which subjects to do in Graduation for IAS being a Graduate from Delhi university?
Any Graduate from a recognized University can apply for IAS examination. So you don't have to worry about your Graduation subjects.
You can opt for those subjects in which you have interest and can dedicate lot of time for studying. So just complete your Graduation with the subjects in which you have interest and opt for those subjects and optional in IAS Mains. Age Limit For IAS Exam: General Category - 21 to 30 years OBC Category - 21 to 33 years SC/ST Category - 21 to 35 years Examination Pattern: The first stage will be a Preliminary Test which will be an Objective type paper. There will be two paper of 200 marks each. You have to clear cut off marks in the Prelims to become eligible for Mains exam. Mains will be an descriptive type paper and you have to opt for optional subjects in this stage. If you clear cut off in Mains then you will be called for Personality test. Merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the exam and those who are high on merit will be recommended for appointment. For more information visit http://www.upsc.gov.in |
