Optional subjects for IPS main exam:

Economics , Electrical Engineering,Geography, Geology ,History, Law,Management, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science and International Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Anthropology, Botany, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Commerce and Accountancy.


PROCESS BECOME A IPS OFFICER:-
1. Fill up the Application form.
2.Preliminary exam is consist of two papers.
a) General studies -----150 marks
b)From Optional subject -------300 marks
3.If you have qualify in Preliminary exam then you have to go for IPS mains exam
4.After completion of your main exam you have to go for Interview.

EXAM DATE:-

Notification Date - 04/02/2012
Last date of application - 05/03/2012
Preliminary examination - 20/05/2012.

i was a average student in my 10th and 12th ... is i am eligibile for a ips

I.P.S exam is conducted by the U.P.S.C one in a year.
I.P.S exam is also known as civil services exam.

CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAM., 2012
date of notification:-04.02.2012
Last date of receipt of form:- 05.03.2012(MONDAY)
Date of exam:- 20.05.2012(SUNDAY)


CIVIL SERVICES (MAIN) EXAM., 2012
Date of Exam:- 05.10.2012(FRIDAY)

my dear you should select a subject in which you have your interest , nd for which you can devote a long time to study without getting bored.anyhw choose a subject for that you had a good command in your graduation....good luck..
