AFCAT exam stands for air force common addmission test and this exam is totally mulitiple choice question test.To clear these exam you must have to practice hard on these topics: *Numerical ability:these portion will strong only when you solve maths puzzle more and more. *General knowledge test:These portion while become stronger by using upkar publication book. *General awareness test:to strong these portion just go through daily hindustan times and india today's magazine. *Reasioning type MCQ question's *And the last but not least Verbal ability test totally based how much you have knowledge of english. AFCAT Exam Details: Air Force Common Admission Test is conducted by the Indian Air force every year. The eligibility criteria varies from one branch to the other.
Flying Branch: You need to have a bachelor's degree in any area with minimum 60% of marks or a B.E./B.Tech degree with 60% of marks. You should have passed 12th with physics and mathematics. Your age should vary between 19 and 23 years. On having a commercial pilot license you are entitled to get age relaxation upto 25 years. Your minimum height should be 162.5 cm with correlated weight. Technical Branch: Whether you apply for Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) or Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) you need to have a B.E./B.Tech in aeronautical engineering from a recognized university or institution. It should be a four year full time degree. While applying for this exam your age should vary between 18 and 28 years. Minimum height in case of men should be 157.5cm and in case of female should be 152 cm with correlated weight. Ground Duty Branch: For the administration and logistics branch you need to have bachelor's degree in any discipline with 60 percent of marks or you can have a post graduate degree or equivalent diploma degree in any discipline with minimum 50 percent of marks in aggregate. For the accounts branch you need to have 60 percent in B.Com (commerce) or you can do your post graduation in M.Com/ICWA/CA and ensure 50 percent marks in aggregate. For the education branch you have to complete your post graduation in any discipline and ensure 50 percent of marks in aggregate. Selection Procedure: Firstly you will have to give the written test and if you qualify then you will have to go through three stages of selection. Intelligence Test Psychological Test/Group Test/Interview Pilot Aptitude Battery Test If the selection board recommends then you will be sent for the medical test in the Air Force Central Medical Establishment. Finally the merit list will be published by combining your written test marks and interview session marks. Your medical fitness will also be taken into consideration. following is the syllabus for AFCAT: -----SCHEME OF SYLLABUS----- 1. The AFCAT Question Paper will have 100 questions. All questions will be of three marks each. For every correct answer the candidate will get three marks and for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted under negative marking. The total time allotted for the paper is two hours. 2. Each Question Paper will have questions from the following topics:- (a) General Awareness – History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc. (b) Verbal Ability in English – Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary. (c) Numerical Ability – Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit & loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple interest. (d) Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test – Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability. best luck..!!!! |

AFCAT is Air Force Common Admission Test. It is conducted for following branches in Air Force:
-Flying Branch -Technical Branch -Ground Duty Branch For flying and technical branch you should be Graduate in Engineering or Maths or Physics from a recognised university. For Ground Duty Branch Graduates in any discipline are eligible to apply. It is open to both men and women and by giving this exam you can get a chance to enter any one of the following wings of your choice:- • Flying Branch • Technical Branch • Ground Duty Branch ♦>> Educational Qualification:- • For the Flying Branch you need to complete graduation with not less than 60% of marks from a recognized university.
