NET Stands for National Eligiblity test and this examination was conducted by UGC Twice in a year, The examination was held in June and December Every year, The June NET Examination was already completed and If you have completed your Post graduate degree course then you are eligible to apply for the December NET Examination.

The Notification of December NET Examination was already availiable in the UGC Website and the last date of apply for this examination was 25/Oct/2011.

The examination was Going to be held on 24/Dec/2011.

There are 3 Papers in this examination, and the examination was held in 2 session, in First session there will be 2 papers of Objective and In Last session there will be 1 paper of Descriptive. In Descriptive paper you have to choose optional subjects as per your Post graduation.

And If you need the NET Computer Science Syllabus then please do not worry because here i am Uploading the NET Computer Science paper, so please download the paper and keep practice according to the syllabus.

The NET exam date is18-12-2011 But still UGC have not published application brochure .

The application details will be published in 26th September,2011.So you have to prepare well for NET exam.

There are one declaration is announced UGC . No negative Marking in Paper-I and Paper -II exam.

Online form will available after 26th September.

Date of Close of Online Submission: 13-09-2011

Last Date of Receipt of Duly Completed Hard Copy of Online Application Forms: 16-09-2011

SC/ST-150

NET exam conduct every year in twice june and december.
this year june exam already completed and notification for next exam already published.

UGC NET Syllabus 2012 :- Hello everyone, Welcome to University Grant Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) syllabus 2012 section. Here in this section we will be provide you complete details about UGC NET syllabus 2012. Every year UGC conducts an entrance test NET for recruits the Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and Lecturers in Science and Arts subjects. The candidates can download their UGC NET Syllabus from UGC online official website www.ugc.ac.in/inside/syllabus.html or the UGC syllabus is available on to the All Indian Library.

UGC Exam Pattern :- UGC NET exam is to be divide into the three papers.

Paper 1- The first paper is to be related general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It is designed to check the test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness. There are 60 objective type question candidates are need to be solved only 50 questions that is depends on to the candidates choices.

Paper 2 - Paper 2 is subjective type question paper. There are 50 compulsory questions and 2 marks noted for each question. The candidate will be have to mark the responses for questions of Paper-I and Paper-II on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheet provided along with the Test Booklet. The detailed instructions for filling up the OMR Sheet will be sent to the candidate along with the Admit Card.

Paper 3 – This paper is only descriptive type questions paper. Candidates are required to attempt questions in the space provided in the Test Booklet.

The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research.

The Test is conducted in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science.

Syllabus of NET in Computer science:

There will be two question papers, UGC NET CS Paper II and Paper III ( Part-A & B ). UGC NET CS Paper II will cover 50 Objective Type Questions carrying 100 marks.

UGC NET CS Paper III will have two Parts-A and B; Paper III (A) will have 10 short essay type questions carrying 16 marks each. In it there will be one question with internal choice from each unit ( i.e.. 10 questions from 10 units; Total marks will be 160 ).

Database Concepts, ER diagrams, Data Models, Design of Relational Database, Normalisation, SQL and QBE, Query Processing and Optimisation.

Unit-III :

1.Display systems, Input devices, 2D Geometry, Graphic operations, 3D Graphics, Animation, Graphic standard, Applications.
2.Concepts, Storage Devices, Input Tools, Authoring Tools, Application, Files.

UGC NET CS Paper III (B) ( Elective / Optional ):

1.Theory of Computation
2.Context free Grammars
3.Linear Bounded Automata ( LBA )
4.Chomsky Hierarchy of languages : Recursive and recursively-enumerable languages.

The NET Exam is held in 2 session and consist of 3 papers
2 papers are held in first session and 1 paper in the second session

There will be 60 questions of 1 mark each in Paper 1 out of which only 50 have to be attempted.
There will be 50 questions of 1 mark each in Paper 2. All are compulsory
Paper 3 consist of 75 questions of 2 marks each, all questions are compulsory.

The duration of the paper 1 and 2 will be 1¼ Hours each and 2.5 hour for paper 3.
