Re: Is there any career option for girls to join Indian Navy? What is the procedure followed to get the admission?
First of all most important thing to understand is that it is not possible to join Indian Navy after completion of class 10th because minimum qualification required to join Indian Navy is 12th with non medical stream from recognised board. Candidate has to appear in the NDA exam and only male unmarried candidates are eligible to appear in this exam to join Indian Navy.

No, right now as per your qualification you are not eligible to join Indian Navy. To join Indian Navy candidates can appear for NDA and CDS examination.
Both the examination is conducted by UPSC twice every year. But, being a girl candidate you are not eligible to appear for NDA. So, you have to wait for the graduation degree to appear for examination and candidates after qualifying in the written and SSB are eligible for final recruitment. For more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

Sorry, to say that girls are not eligible to join in Indian Navy.
To join in Indian Navy, you must have to appear in NDA examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year. Only 12th standard passed Unmarried Male candidates are eligible to join in Indian Navy as per eligibility criteria mentioned in the UPSC NDA examination notification. |

There is no scope for girls in Indian Navy after passing tenth standard with 60%. Even after 10+2 standard, girls are not eligible for National Defence Academy examination as only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for NDA examination.
You can apply for Combined Defence Services examination for joining Indian Naval Academy after bachelor's degree. The age limit is 19-22 years for unmarried male and female candidates. |

Re: Is there any career option for girls to join Indian Navy? What is the procedure followed to get the admission?
Girls are not eligible to appear for the Defense sector jobs in the technical field girls are eligible only to appear for the Officers Training Academy vacancies and this can be appeared only after graduation and not after 10th.
So,as a girl you can appear in to the Defense Sectors like Indian Navy, for Officers Training Academy only and you can appear through the CDS examination only which is Combined Defense Services Examination. CDS examination is conducted by the UPSC which is conducted every year and as you are 10th passed now you need to complete your 12th and then appear for the Graduation course Required Eligibility for CDS examination:
These are the minimum eligibility to appear for the CDS recruitment and Male candidates are eligible only for the Technical departments and Females and Males are also eligible for OTA recruitment. |

Re: Is there any career option for girls to join Indian Navy? What is the procedure followed to get the admission?
There is no possibility for girls to join Indian Navy after 10th board exams. Second most important thing is that girls are also not eligible for NDA exams.
Being a female candidate, you can join Navy after bachelor's degree through Combined Defence services exam conducted by UPSC every year two times. The age limit for Navy is 19-22 years. |

Re: Is there any career option for girls to join Indian Navy? What is the procedure followed to get the admission?
There is no such entrance exam which is conducted either at secondary level or higher secondary after passing which girls can join Indian Navy. It means there is no career option for girls after passing tenth board exam with 60% marks.
UPSC conducts Combined Defence Services for different academies in which both male and female candidates can apply. For Naval academy, age limit is 19-22 years and candidate must have studied bachelor's degree in physics, science or engineering. You can apply for this exam after bachelor's degree. |
