i want to know that how can womens join indian navy?????? and is there any option in merchant navy???

There are ample of Entries through which one can Enter into Indian Navy by Permanent Commission or by Short Service Commission.

Eligibility For Girls for Indian Navy For Naval Architect , Law , Logistics, Aviation , ATC and Education Branches.

1. Permanent Commission

Through CDSE Naval Academy, Qualifications needed is B.Sc with Physics and Maths or BE and must be 19 to 22 years of age

Through Direct Entry Law Cadre in which Qualifications needed is only Degree in Law with minimum 55% marks with 22 to 27 years age permissible.

Through Direct Entry Naval Armament Inspection Cadre Qualifications needed BE or PG degree in Electronics or Physics with 19 to 25 years of Age.

Even Short Service Commission is also a Mode to Get into Merchant Navy

2. Short Service Commission (Men and Women)

Through Law Cadre in which Qualifications needed is Degree in Law with minimum 55% marks with an age of 22 to 27 years only.

Through Logistics Cadre in which Qualifications needed is BA(Econs)/B.Com with second division with an age of 19 to 25 years only.

Through Air Traffic Control (ATC) is also a Mode in which Qualifications are B.Sc with minimum 50% marks in Physics and Maths needed with an age of 19 to 25 years.

Presently woman are introdouced following branch:---

*ATC ---- 19.5 TO 25

*OBSERVER ----- 19 TO 23

*LAW ------- 22 TO 27 YEARS

*EDUCATION ------ 21 TO 25 YEARS

After your Eng degree ,you can apply for indian armed force recruitement drives.

Actuvally armed forces can conduct the exams and interviews.

So as a women there ar emore oppertunities,Here you will apply for the defence service exam and submit the certificates.

For joining Army minimum height is 162.5 cm.

Who have vision problem NAd who wear the glasses,they ar enot eligible.

There are enormous employment opportunities in this field. Candidates who have finished the basic course can get a job very easily through various consultants and placement agencies. Placement may be found on various types of ships such as tankers, cargo and passenger ships.

Merchant Navy is different from the navy in the sense that it offers commercial services, as opposed to the navy, which is largely involved in the defence of a nation. Companies that run merchant ships require trained people who can operate and maintain the ships. Some of these are: Chevron and Mobil of USA, Wallem Ship Management of Hong Kong, Denholm of UK. India too has its shipping companies, such as the Shipping Corporation of India, Great Eastern Shipping, Essar and Chowgule Shipping.

You can apply in Indian Maritime University.

Also it would be better to Indian Navy.

I have attached a document for the various kinds of entries and their eligibility.

Women can join INDIAN NAVY by giving an entrance exam of CDS. After qualifying this exam they have to give SSB. The candidate who qualifies SSB have to qualify the medical test . thosecandidate who qualifies all these tests are selected in the CDS and according to the merit they are selected in the army, navy and the air force.

Women can also join INDIAN NAVY in the following manners:
1. They may join through CDS. They have to give entrance exam followed by SSB and medical tests.
2.They may also join in the short service commission.
3.They may join in the law cadre entry scheme

Eligibility for Merchant navy
Student must have passed 10+2 from recognized school or board.
Student must have PCM as combination subjects fro being eligible for Merchant navy.
Also students passing marine engineering can also take admission into Merchant navy.
You can also try for NAVY through following schemes......
SSC Pilot entry scheme.
NCC Special Entry Indian Naval Academy scheme
SSC Naval Armament Inspection cadre scheme
