How To Join Indian Navy After 12th

In order to join the Indian Navy after passing 12th..you need to clear the NAtional Defense Academy (NDA) Exam conducted twice every year in the months of April and August by the UPSC..

Eligibility Criterion :-

A candidate is eligible for appearing for the NDA exam only if :-

>> the candidate is between the age limit of 16.5-19 years

>> the candidate must have also cleared his 12th from a recognized board..

>> Only unmarried males are eligible for appearing for NDA

>> the candidates must also satisfy the physical requirements for joining the various wings..

You need to clear the following rounds in order to get into the Indian Navy :-

Written Test
Interview Round
Medical Examination

Basically every aspiration having two chance to entered into Indian Navy Academy

One who aspiring to Join in Indian Navy Academy then the candidate may apply for National Defence Academy or Combined Defence Academy ..

Hence you have Not mention your qualification here .. So, It's difficult to say that your eligible for the Examination or not..

If your Complete 12th standard then your applicable for NDA Entrance Examination ..

if your Complete Graduation course then your applicable for CDS Entrance Examination ,,

Eligibility NDA Entrance Examination ( + 2 Navy )

Application should be passed in 12th) examination in Science faculty with physics,chemistry,mathematics as a Main Subject from a recognized .. The who aspiring to Join in Indian Navy Wing, the candidate should note that Only Science Faculty candidates are applicable for Indian Navy , Commerce and Arts Stream candidates are not applicable for Indian Navy Wing ..

Applicant age should be in between 16 1/2 years to 19 years at the time of appearing for Indian navy examination and
there is no upper age limits is given to the reserved categories.

Only unmarried male candidate satisfy Educational and age criteria are eligible for Indian Navy Wing ..

Applicant must be physically fit according to the physical standards to Entered into Indian Navy Wing ..

Eligibility for CDS Entrance Examination ( Graduation , Navy )

Applicant should be qualified in Graduation course in Science stream like B.sc , B.tech , BE Course from recognized university .. from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.

Final year candidate may also eligible to apply for this Entrance Examination ..

The Applicant age should be in between 19 years and 22 years at the time of appearing for Indian Navy Wing

Note :- No upper age limits is given to the reserved categories.

Indian Navy Appearing candidate should be unmarried male then Only the candidate eligible for Indian Navy Examination.

The Applicant who Complete Master graduate degree may also eligible for this Entrance Examination ..

Applicant should be Physically as well as Medically Fit

Let me tell you that to join Indian Navy, firstly, you will have to give NDA(National Defense Academy) exam after finishing your 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.


The educational qualifications regarding with National Defense Academy exam for Indian Navy are below mentioned:-

# Candidates must have finished their 12th standard in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any approved institution.

# There is no need of percentage for this exam.

# Candidates of last year of 12th standard are also preferable for this exam.


Age limit and relaxation regarding with National Defense Academy for Indian Navy wing are below mentioned:-

I am santosh from chandigarh , now my age is 18 years .When i filled NDA form in may ,2013 it couldn't accept it ,so I was unable to fill the form .It was showing that I am overage. My date of birth is 5 feb 1995. So please tell me the procedure to join indian navy without NDA or is there any other way to NDA?? Please its really important..

Indian Navy can be joined through cracking NDA entrance exam after 12th from Science stream.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twicw every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for an entry in to Indian Army, navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate aspiring to join Indian navy of NDA, must be an Indian unmarried Male candidate only having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

The NDA can be joined through on line only by paying requisite fee for the exam.

The selection is through written exam, Personal Interview, Physical Fitness Test and finally through Medical Test.
