Sir, I have completed my BA from Kurukshetra University with 60% marks. I want to do distance LLB course. So, I would like to know that I have to appear in any kind of entrance exam for getting admission and study this distance LLB course?

Usually, candidates appear in CLAT ( Common Law Admission Test) exam to get admissions in LLB course in good Law colleges. The scorecard of CLAT exam is accepted throughout India.

But, as you want to do LLB via distance mode, I want to say that, yes you can do this course via distance mode. Many law colleges conducted admission tests to give admissions in LLB course via distance mode. Some good colleges or universities which offer this course via distance mode, are listed below.

LLB is Bachelor in Legislative Law and it is three year course.

The required minimum qualification to get admission in the course is that :-

Candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

No age limit to get admission in the course.

But Bar Council of India does not recognise distance LLB.

So, there will be no benefit of pursuing the course in distance. Entrance examination is conducted by various institutes and universities for offering LLB course.

- After graduation or +2 with required marks candidates able to apply for the LLB Law
- +2 candidates course LLB Law duration is 5 years
- LLB law for graduates is a three years course
- Candidates should be with 50% in their schooling or degree with any stream
- Candidates can do LLB in regular and correspondence too
- Aspires should give Entrance exam
- Admission is on entrance rank
- Candidates must submit their application and fee before the last date
- SET, CLAT, LSAT, AILET, etc are few entrance exams to do Law

BL/LLB Law in distance or correspondence is not recognized by Bar Council

Yes, you can pursue LLB in distance course. In order to pursue LLB course in distance mode, you are required to appear in the entrance examination that is conducted by concerned college and get married score. Some of the colleges give admission on the basis of the marks secured in 12th class. Here is the list of colleges offering LLB in distance mode:

Actually there is no procedure to do LLB through correspondence and this is because LLB is not offered to distance education. If there is any University offering LLB through distance mode then it is of no value.
There are however some law degrees that are offered through correspondence but unfortunately Bar Council of India has refused to recognise them their for pursuing such degrees completely useless.
You cannot practice in any Indian code to search degree and neither you will find any government job.

You will be eligible to pursue LLB after completing graduation. You can pursue LLB from either regular mode or distance mode.

Eligibility criteria are as under:-

Candidate must have passed graduation degree.

Candidate must have 45% aggregatte in graduation .
There is no upper age limit.

The candidate must qualify in the CLAT entrance exam.

Yes, you can do LLB through distance mode.

Those who have completed your graduation are eligible to appear for LLB course.

LLB eligibility criteria:-

The candidate must complete graduation or its equivalent Qualification from a recognised University .

The candidate must qualify in the CLAT entrance exam.

If you want to pursue LLB then, you have to clear CLAT Entrance examination to gab a seat in any of the good colleges.

Eligibility criteria are as follows:-
Candidate must have completed graduation from a recognized university.
Candidate must have scored at least 50% aggregate in graduation.
Upper age limit is not declared anywhere.

You are eligible to get admission in LLB course as per your qualification.

Candidates passed bachelor degree are eligible to get admission in law course.

But LLB course in distance mode is not recognised by Bar Council of India and you are not eligible to practice as an advocate.

So, I will suggest you to take admission in regular course in a recognised university.

LLB is three year course. Candidates passed bachelor degree in any discipline are eligible to appear in examination.

Bar Council of India does not give recognition to university to offer LLB in distance mood.

So, if you want to pursue the course in distance mode you will be not eligible to practice as lawyer after the completion of course.

So, it is better to pursue the course from a recognised university in regular mode.

LLB refers to Bachelor of Legislative Law and same is a professional undergraduate degree course after pursuing which one heads toward becoming a lawyer.

Having completed your bachelor degree course and interested in pursuing LLB degree course in distance mode, I would like to let you know that as per the Best Council of India rules a candidate possessing LLB degree course in distance/correspondence mode are not eligible to practice law and hence it is not worthy to pursue the same degree course in distance mode.

Further, being a bachelor degree holder with 60% marks you are eligible to pursue regular LLB degree course of 3 years from any top central universities such as Delhi University, Kurukshetra University, Banaras Hindu University, etc. which would be the best option for you if you are interested in pursuing LLB degree course.

LLB can be done through 2 modes :

1. By fighting the CLAT examination.

2. Through simple LLB.

If you appear in CLAT and secure a good rank in that then you will be given admission in any of the National Law Universities across the country for a 5 years BA-LLB degree.

But if you have completed graduation then you are not eligible for CLAT.
A simple LLB, you are eligible.

Many university across the country are there which offer a LLB degree through regular as well as the private mode.

There is no such hard and fast eligibility criteria for that.

The candidate just have to pass the graduation and all the subject in that successfully as per the guidelines of UGC.

Distance LLB is not a valid course as Bar Council of India does not recognise distance course.

Eligibility to get admission in LLB is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognise university.

So, I will not allow you take admission in the college which is not recognised by Bar Council.
