For the posts we are applying in NET Exam while filling form JRF and Assistant Professor. If we opt any one or both how it benefits? And, if we go for only Assistant Professor do we get opportunities to work in colleges or institution and same question for JRF also, if we opt only JRF? Further, is the syllabus and same for both or different?

The syllabus remains same for both Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship. The entrance examination for both is same that is called National Eligibility test.

Master's degree in any stream from a recognized university is the minimum qualification for this exam with minimum of 55% marks.

Upper age limit for JRF is 28 years. No upper age limit for lectureship.
