Re: Are UPSC exams conducted by State Government?
UPSC exams are conducted by Central Government.
UPSC - Can be expanded as Union Public Service Commission of India. The name itself suggests that this exam is conducted by Union Government which is the other name for Central Government of India. On clearing this exam you will become a Central Government employee. Moreover many states has its own exam conducted as those state's Public Service Commission exam. Those exams are to become a State Government employee. For example there is a exam named TNPSC(Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) exam conducted by tamil nadu government on clearing which you will become tamil nadu state government employee. |
