Dear bks123
though I laud your intention to improve your English from online sources, there is no substitute to reading a book physically. The world's most widely read magazine, Reader's Digest is the ultimate resource to improve your English. Since the news-stand copy would cost you more, subscribe for the year via http://rd-india.com at about Rs 450. Online information is always suspect, unless vetted by independent sources, but still if you are interested you might check up... http://www.learnenglish.de/ http://www.english-daily.com/ http://blog.shankarganesh.com/2007/12/21/how-to-improve-your-english-online/ http://www.openenglishworld.com/ http://www.englishskills.com/Sample_eng.htm http://www.english-at-home.com/ http://www.selfgrowth.com/comm.html A little bit of advice...type SMS-type english only on your cell phone...otherwise your English communication skills will suffer! Best of Luck. |

In my point of view Self Preparation is better than websites. There are websites and books which offers you to learn English in just 30 days but these aren't effective. Some of the websites you can prefer are:-
www.learnenglish.de www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/ But these websites will not be useful for a beginner. If you not a beginner and trying to improve your speaking skills then these websites may be effective. You can improve/learn English yourself by speaking daily in English,Reading Newspapers like 'The Hindu' and watching English news channels like BBC. Here am attaching you an e-book regarding synonyms and antonyms where you can find new words and get its meaning. |

hey there,
English is an easy subject. First of all if you want to learn that subject you should stop thinking the subject as a alien subject. Start with a few words a day. Write down those words and try to use them in the your regular conversation. Be a constant watcher of NDTV, and slowly you can move to watch the british and american channels. www.learnenglish.de gives you a comprehensive study guide to english. apart from this i have few accent training audio books i can share with you if interested . |

I would like to say you are having lack of Hard Work !!. Yes lack of Hard Work because laziness is the major factor of bad English speaker.
In India 20% are only can speak Fluent English and from 40-60% knows English but cant able to speak. and remaining are Illiterate. You can learn English speaking your self without using any Sites or Help, But you need to do one thing. You have to speak each and every word from your mouth in English. Make your self such that you will start talking in English to your Siblings and You Elders.Whatever you say, do think once before saying Something. For your reference Purpose i am giving you a Site it will help you Bussu.com and EnglishCafe.com From now onwards start talking in English. |

lots of answer u have seen but its my experience that communication can be improved only by vocab...and vocab u can improvie by reading news paper which is quite boring for the one who is weak in english so its good to watch english movie with subtitle in english and download cabridge dictionary as doing this u can create ur intrest in movie and u can see the words in dictionary .although it will take long time to finish the movie bt it will help u a lot..
beside this u can test ur vocab www.learnwordlist.com and can prefer GRE to learn vocab.. now choice is yours !! |
