Hi,

According to Medical Council of India, now there will be one common entrance test for all government and private medical colleges in India.

NEET -National Eligibility Entrance Examination

Maximum age limit for NEET exam has not been decided yet.

Eligibility criteria for NEET-

12th class with minimum of 50% in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized board before admission.

Minimum age should be 17 years.

Exam Pattern -

There are three papers of total 250 questions-

1. Physics - 75 questions

2. Chemistry - 75 questions

3. Biology - 100 questions

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted by CBSE Eecah year

Eligibity for the NEET exams is:

Education:
12th Pass with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in subjects Phy, Chemistry and Biology and passing marks in English

AGE- Minimum 17 years


Exam Pattern:

Exam will be held in just one stage.

There will be one test where 180 Objective questions (MCQ) will be asked from Physics, chemistry and Biology

Physics- 45 questions
Chemistry 45 questions
Botany- 45 questions
Zoology 45 questions

Each Correct Answer will get 4 marks and for each incorrect 1 marks will be deducted

Dear Friend,

NEET stands for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test

The minimum age for NEET is 17 years at the time of admission or complete this age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

Hence, you will be eligible for this examination.

But, wait for its notification as this test has got into controversy because of Supreme Court recent judgement and there may be may changes from next year onwards.

and sc/st candidate have to score minimum 40%


the minimum age limit fixed is 17years, and there is no upper age limit fixed for neet exam


EXAM pattern for neet is:

total no of questions - 180
time allowed- 3hrs
1/4th marks deducted for every one wrong answer

zoology - 45 ques
botany - 45 ques
chemistry - 45ques
physics - 45ques

equal weightage has been provided to all these 4 papers

85% of the medical college seats to be filled in by the State Merit list candidates and the remaining 15% seats by All India Merit list candidates. You can give this exam to pursue both undergraduate and postgraduate course in medical.

Eligibility Criteria:-

1. An higher secondary passed out ceritficate or its equivalent from a recognized board.

2. 50% of marks in physics, chemistry and biology taken together.

3. SC/ST needs to get 40% of marks in PCM.

4. Pass marks in physics, chemistry, biology and english.

5. Final year students can also give this examination.

The minimum age limit for giving this examination is 17 years. The upper age limit for those seeking admission under 15% All India Quota seats in Government Medical Colleges is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination.

The upper age limit will be relaxed by five years for the Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes. There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing in the NEET for State Quota seats.

ANS:National Eligibility Entrance Examination Eligibility criteria :

Candidate must have minimum of 17 years of age and also candidate must have a minimum of 50% aggregate in subjects B.P.C and also minimum of passing marks in English subject.

For schedule caste/ schedule tribe / other backward classes there is relaxation of 5 years.
