Re: What is the benefit in CDS exam? I am a C certificate holder of NCC
Hi,
NCC holder surely will have benefits in defense field. if the cadets posses NCC passed certificate claiming grade minimum of "c" then yes he/she can try for NCC special entry NCC special entry are meant for NCC CADETS ,without facing the entrance exam. you might be knowing NCC cadets will have separate merit list from others.then why not to avail this opportunity.right if not,you can even go with with the entrance exam through upsc entry. upsc conduct exams like NDA (national defense academy),CDS (combined defense service )exam you can defense field via CDS OR NDA EXAM AS PER YOUR ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND QUALIFICATION *indian army *indian air force *indian navy FOR this you need to update yourself with the upsc exam via www.upsc.gov.in All the best....................... |

Re: What is the benefit in CDS exam? I am a C certificate holder of NCC
NCC certificate will help you in NCC special entry scheme and if you want to utilise NCC certificate then apply for NCC special entry scheme.
For CDS exam there is no concession for NCC certificate holders. In CDS any Graduate without NCC certificate are eligible to apply. In CDS exam there is Written exam , SSB and Medical exam. The selection in CDS exam is based on marks in these stages and there is no extra marks given to NCC cadets. Your experience of NCC will help you in physical fitness tests in CDS examination. Every year there is a NCC Special Entry Scheme for which NCC cadets with 'C' Certicate holders with at least B Grade are eligible to apply. In the NCC special entry scheme you will be shortlisted directly for SSB interview if you are found suitable for the post according to the application. Hence if you want to get the benefit of NCC 'C' Certificate then apply for NCC special entry scheme. For more information visit http://www.joinindianarmy.nic.in |

After completion of graduation, interested candidates can appear for the CDS entrance test and SSB interview for Indian Military Academy. While on completion of engineering, one can also enter as TES entry. NCC ‘C’ certificate gives you advantage in joining the Army. Your age limit should be 25 years.
