To pursue a career as Bank PO it is indeed needed to have some computer knowledge because everything once maintained in files and papers have moved into word documents and excel sheets...

-> So as a bank PO you must be good in Basic Computer Skills like MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access etc..

-> You must also have a good knowledge about Windows Operating System and how to work in it...

-> If you are from computer science background then there is no need of any extra certificate..

-> But if you are from other background then carrying a certificate by going to the course will add more value...

The bank PO exam is held for the post of probationary officer.

What computer knowledge is required to pursue career in bank PO?

1.You must have a basic knowledge on computer and its basic mechanism.

2.you must know the basic software's like MS Office which includes MS Word,MS Excel,MS Access,MS Outlook,Ms Powerpoint according to the latest version.

3.You need a degree to do Bank Po,if you have pursued your degree in computer oriented stream then you will be able to easily get through the exam.

4.The candidates will be trained for 2 years and if you enhance the above criteria's you may find it easy to exile the training and get through it or a stable post.

I am a fresh graduate with advance diploma of information technology who is desperately looking for jobs to apply for and during my course, I studied DBMS, SQL, OS, Oracle, C programming, Computer networking, courses of web development and its designs, computer basics, name them. Yes, definitely computer knowledge is essential to apply for Bank PO Examination . Now a days Computer play very Imortant role in Corporate Sectors and more over Every transactions are made through in computers only . So ,the candidate should have good computer knowledge to join in the banks PO Examination .

Eligibility Criteria for Bank PO Examination :-

-> Applicant should be Indian Candidate .

-> Applicant should be completed graduation from recognized university.

-> Applicant should be Score Minimum 60% aggregate percentage marks in Bachelor degree course ..

-> Applicant should have basic Computer knowledge in M.S Office and Typing Skill .. Etc..

-> Applicant Age must be in between 21 yrs to 30 Years for SBI PO Examination and

-> Applicant age should be in between 20 years to 30 years for IBPS PO Examination .

-> Upper age relaxation will applicable for SC/ST/PD candidates .

Note:- No Minimum Mark required for IBPS and SBI PO Examination ..

In Bank PO Exams, one section is dedicated for computer ability.
To qualify in that, you are required to know
Basic Operating system, MS-Office, Fundamentals of Computer etc

A candidate can perform operations on a computer or not, since all the bank exams and functions are carried online. It’s ok if you don’t have a bachelor's degree in computers, basic general knowledge about computer is sufficient.

You can select your option from the drop-down menu but you will have to produce a certificate or the report card(if studied about computers in 10th standard) as a proof at the time of verification.

But at the end, it is not necessary to fill the blank as it is optional. But it is suggested to fill the blank with “basic Computer Knowledge.”

Post graduate degree in any stream from a recognized university,with 60%marks in aggregate first class and computer science
Covering M.S word ,M.S excel, Access etc

The eligibility for the post of a Bank Probationary Officer is either Post Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in aggregate (First class) and Computer Science covering M S Word, M S Office, Excel, Access, etc., as one of the subjects at the Degree/PG level, Or MCA.

If you are preparing for banking exams then you should try all type of banking exams like rbi grade b, sebi grade a, and NABARD Grade A & B Exams.
