i m btech civil 3rd year. i want to know the criteria for upsc exam after completinh btech.

if i do btech from a university which is approved by UGC like amity university
will i be eligible for upsc exam or any other govt jobs like in railways etc

Yes, you can apply for UPSC Civil Services Examination and Indian Engineering Services examination after the completion of your B.Tech in Civil branch.
Eligibility for Civil Services exam :
-> Graduation or any other equivalent examination pass from UGC approved college or university. Final year degree pursuing students are also eligible to apply.
Eligibility for IES examination :
-> Degree in Engineering from Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics & telecommunications branches from recognised institution. And final year engineering students are also eligible to apply for it.
# Age limit to apply for these exams is 21-32 years for General category, 21-35 years for OBC candidates and 21-37 years for SC, ST candidates.
# And maximum number of attempts allowed for these two exams are :
-> 6 times for General category
-> 9 times for OBC candidates
-> No such restriction for SC and ST candidates.
# Recruitment process of these exams is preliminary exam, main exam, medical test and personal interview.
