IT stands for Information Technology.It deals with Software development and supported technologies to make our work day today work easier.

IT Technical officer scale I is a exam conducted by IBPS.
Eligibility required for IBPS Technical Officer for SCALE I

Educational qualification :-
-->>You should have a bachelor degree in Computer Application/Information Technology/MCA/M.sc(IT) etc.

Age :-
-->>Your minimum age should be 20 years.
-->>Your age should not be above 35 years.

You will also able to get the age relaxation facility,if you comes under the reserved category.
Its details are as Follows :-

• OBC Category - 3 years of age relaxations.
• SC/ST Category - 5 years of age relaxations.

Marks in Bachelor degree :-
-->>You should have 60% marks in Bachelor degree.


Exam Pattern :-
-->>There will be 4 sections.
-->>Total marks for this exam will be 200.
-->>There will be 50 questions from each sections.
-->>Total duration for this exam will be 2 hours.


Syllabus and Marks :-

• Reasoning - 50 Marks.
• English Language - 25 Marks.
• General awareness related to Banking Sector - 50 Marks.
• Professional Knowledge - 75 Marks.

NOTE :- This exam for year 2013 is going to be held on 16/03/2013.

Que:What is the difference between IT and Technical officer Scale I?

ANS:Both IT officer and Technical officer are different posts.
Both these exams of IBPS exam comes under Specialist Officer post
IT officer basically for IT streams candidates like b.tech(CSE),mca or having IT as a specialization field
Technical officer post is for those having degree in electronics,electrical or b.tech(ECE),MECHANICAL etc.

Both the posts have same exam pattern like below.

1)Reasoning(50 questions and 50 marks)
2)Aptitude(50 questions and 50 marks)
3)English(50 questions and 25 marks)
4)Professional knowledge(50 questions and 75 marks)
