Is GATE score mandatory for candidates who appear in IBPS exams?


Is gate score is mandatory for the candidates who appear for ibps exams? I don't know About ibps selection criteria please tell me.

No, GATE score is not mandatory to appear for IBPS examination. IBPS conducts Common Written Examination (CWE) for the recruitment of Clerk and PO vacancies which was approved by public sector banks. Following is the eligibility criteria required to appear for IBPS examinations is mentioned below :-

1. You must be a citizen of India.

2. The minimum age required to appear for IBPS Clerk examination is 20 years and maximum age is 28 years as on 1st July of the year of examination. The minimum age required to appear for IBPS PO examination is 20 years and maximum age is 30 years as on 1st July of the year of examination. Age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules.

3. To be eligible to appear for IBPS examination, the candidate must have completed Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

Selection Procedure :-
1. Common Written Examination
2. Personal Interview

No, GATE score is not essential for IBPS exam.

IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.

If you have completed graduation degree from a recognized university then you are eligible for IBPS Clerk exam.

Your age should be in between 20 to 28 years old.

If you have completed graduation degree from a recognized university then you are eligible for IBPS Clerk exam.

The candidate age must be in between 21 to 30 years.

IBPS holds the Specialist Officers exams for the below posts:-

I.T. Officer (Scale-I)
Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I)
Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I)
Law Officer (Scale I)
Technical Officer (Scale I)
HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I)
Marketing Officer (Scale I)
I.T. Officer (Scale-II)
Law Officer (Scale II)
Chartered Accountant (Scale II)
Finance Executive (Scale II)

Age Limit for all Scale 1 posts
Minimum 20 years
Maximum 35 years

Age Limit for the Law officer Scale 2 and IT officer Scale 2 is
Minimum 21 years
Maximum 40 years

Age Limit for the Chartered Accountant Scale 2 is
Minimum 21 years
Maximum 35 years

Age Limit for the Finance Executive Scale 2 is
Minimum 25 years
Maximum 35 years

IBPS RRB Exam :

Officer Scale III : Below 40 years

Officer Scale II :Not less than 21 years and not greater than 32 years .

Officer Scale I : Not less than 18 years and not greater than 28 years

Age relaxation is provide for reserved category.

SC/ST ==> 5 years .
OBC ==> 3 years .
PWD ==> 10 years .
Ex-Servicemen ==> 5 years .
Widows ==> 9 years .

Selection process for IBPS exam -
1)Written test
2) Personal interview.

No, Gate is not necessary to apply for IBPS exam. Candidates who have completed their degree in any stream can apply for IBPS exam. So, if you are a student, who have completed graduation then you can apply for IBPS exam
IBPS is conducted to fill the vacancies in almost 21 banks. If you can clear this exam, you are eligible to get job in any one of those banks.

IBPS Exam Pattern:-
IBPS is conducted in five sections
1)Reasoning - 40 marks
2)English Language - 40 marks
3)Aptitude - 40 marks
4)Computer Knowledge - 40 marks
5)General Awareness - 40 marks

SELECTION:-
selection of the candidates will be based on written test and interview. Candidates who will clear the written test are only eligible for interview.
