Is it necessary to choose Physics for becoming Pilot? I have passed my 10th and was thinking to opt for Commerce stream for my 12th but, I heard that the combination of PCM is must to study Pilot degree course. Is it true?

Yes, it is true. You have to choose science stream with PCM(Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) in class 11. You will not be eligible to apply for the entrance test conducted by respective pilot training schools if you choose commerce stream in class 11.

Basic Qualification for becoming Pilot are:-
Candidate must have finished 12th with Physics and Mathematics as the main subjects.
Candidate's minimum age limit is 17 years.
Good medical Fitness

-> Flying by using hot balloons - Balloonists.
-> Pilots who test new models of aircraft - Test Pilots.
-> Who own and pilot their small propeller aircraft - Hobby aviators.
-> Usually former military pilots are trained to fly space - Space Pilots.

Required qualification and Skills:

Minimum Education - 10+2.
Minimum Age - 18 years.
Good in English Communication.
Physical and Mental fitness certificate.
Need to score pass marks in the entrance exam.
