what is eligibility to fight IPS exam?...please tell me how much is it

Bachelor’s degree is the basic qualification required for IPS. Graduation can be obtained in any subject. Selection process for IPS includes written test, physical efficiency test, and interview. Upper age limit is 30 years. General category candidates can attend the test at most 4 times.

IPS stands for Indian Police service.IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognized university are applicable for IPS Exam , the final year students also eligible for applying preliminary examination ..There is not require any kind of percentage marks in graduation degree .

Age criteria :-

Minimum Age = 21 years old
Maximum Age = 30 years old

5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates
3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates
10 years relaxation for PHC candidates
5 years relaxation for Ex-serviceman

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.Also you must be citizen of India.

From this year you should choose only one subject for optional subject and one subject from upsc it is compulsory .

Physical standard for IPS Exam :-



Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic.

Blood pressure (High) – Age 23 – 123, age 24 – 124, age 25 –122, age 28 – 124, age 30 –125, age 32 – 126, age 34 – 127.
Ladies should not be pregnant at the time of Medical Test.

Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels.

Nasal- candidate should not stammer while speaking.

IPS Exam notification is already over for this year because Last date of Receipt of Application by post is 04.03.2013 .So you can wait for one year more .

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC.

There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.

This exam is held through Civil Service Exam .

The candidate, who is already appointed to the other Civil Services, such as, IAS, IFS…would not be eligible to appear to the IPS examination.


Age limit : 21 to 30 years

No. of Attempts

open category:- 4 times

ST/SC category:- 7 times

You have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university

There are four stage of selection

Prelims Written Exam

Mains Exam

Interview

Medical exam

Dear Aspirant,






$$ IPS is stands for the Indian Police Service. Indian Police Service which serves the nation, Fight against the terrorist, Crime one of the Great choice to become a part for serving the nation......

$$ This exams is conducted under the Civil Service Examination by the Union Public Service Commission single time in every year.....

$$ A candidate who have spirit to serve the nation and being Physically as well as mentally strong can apply for this examination....


Selection Process has three stages:-


I. Written Exam
  1. Preliminary Exam and
  2. Main Exam
II. Interview
III. Medical Test



Eligibility and Criteria:-

  1. A candidate must have completed their at least Graduation degree in any field of study can apply for this examination...
  2. While Pursuing final year of Graduation also apply for the same.
  3. No Percentages Criteria...
  4. Minimum age should be at least 21 years..
  5. Maximum age should not exist 30 years..
  6. Relaxation for OBC max. 3 years on upper age (33 years)...
  7. For SC/ST it is up to 5 years on upper age (35 years)...
  8. A candidate must an Indian...

Attempt Limit:-



$$ Max. Attempt for General candidate - 4 times.

$$ For OBC it is max. 7 times.

$$ For SC/ST No limit.


Physical Requirement:-


$$ Height of Male candidate at least 165 Cm. for female it is 155 Cm.

$$ For SC/ST category 162.5 Cm applicable...

$$ Chest should be well Developed 77 Cm. (Men).

$$ For Female candidate at least 76 Cm.

$$ Chest Expansion minimum 5 Cm.

$$ Vision with both Eyes minimum 6/9.
