To join the CBI department, you will need to appear for Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam, conducted by the Staff selection commission every year.

The minimum eligible age, to write combined graduate level examination, is 20 years wheras, the maximum age limit is 27 years with relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

Height: 165 cms
Chest: 76 cms. with expansion

The examination comprises of two papers.
1. General intelligence & awareness
2. Arithmatic

The preliminary exam is is followed by the Main exam.

The Main exam comprise of
English language, Comprehension, Communication skill and writing ability ,Arithmetic and
General studies.

Generally graduation with 50% aggregate is enough to appear in exam conducted for CBI, here is detail about exam-
-paper 1st (general test) duration 2 hr.
*genreal intelligence and reasoning-50 marks
*general awareness-75
*numerical ability-75
Total=200 marks

-paper 2nd (english language) duration 2 hr.
*language comprehension, communication/writing=200 marks

Recruitment of Deputy Superintendents of Police in the CBI is done through the Civil Services Examination conducted by the UPSC. Certain physical standards are set for officers in this service. On selection, candidates undergo a foundation course at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy and are sent to the CBI Training Academy at Ghaziabad for further inputs. my dear friend first appall thanks to choose to become an CBI.CBI means central burro of investigation ,This is the only department has rights to check assets of any one&this is the department has right to suspend government employee from is service when he is taking money illegal manner.So if you want to become a cbi officer you need to maintain perfect rules release by government of india.So you need basic degree with first class,you need to apply groups released from government.If want qualify in cbi exam you need to go coatching in your nearest good coatching centre.You need to apply after you will get hall ticket.This exam will done only capital of every state.All the best
