What is GATE? How to prepare for and what is the registration fee?
what is GATE ???? i don't know about that examination and why take this type examination ?? and how to prepare ??? examination date and registration fee???also examination center ????/

have exam is an exam for the admission to the master degree in iit or nit. it is held only once in a year. you just have to fill the form for getting eligable for the exam. this exam is basically held in the month of january.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
Admission to postgraduate programmes with MHRD and some other Government scholarships/assistantships in engineering colleges/institutes is open to those who qualify in GATE examination. GATE qualified candidates with Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture or Master's degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications are eligible for admission to Master's degree programmes in Engineering/Technology/Architecture as well as for Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Science with MHRD or other government scholarships/assistantships. To avail the scholarship, the candidate must secure admission to such a postgraduate programme, as per the prevailing procedure of the admitting institution. However, candidates with Master's degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture may seek admission to relevant Doctoral programmes with scholarship/assistantship without appearing in the GATE examination. |

you try to join Best Institute. And follow GP publication Books. cost of fee is 1100/- around because it changes one year to another year.. |

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination administered and conducted in eight zones such that One Indian Institute of Science(IISc),Bangalore and the Seven IITs(Bombay,Kharagpur,Kanpur,Guahati,Roorkee,Madra s,Delhi)
To crack the GATE Some Important Tips: 1:According to me,maintain a time table to allow yourself to devote minimum6-8hrs per day for the GATE. 2:Then try to collect the base or main material of any subject. 3:.Study the Syllabus 4:Try to solve the Previous questions papers 5:Try to Solve more and more problems, 6:Try to discover more and more new own tricks by which you can easily solve any problem in a less time . 7:You can go for self tests. The GATE exam will lead you to the specialization for Ph.D,R & D field. Scholarship: As per Govt. rule after achieving the GATE valid score i.e. minimum 90 percentile, you will be able to take admission in Govt. Colleges for the master degree. After having admission you will paid a scholarship of Rs.8000/- per month by the Government of India.The scholarship is paid for the entire 18 months of master degree. The GATE exam is the exam for doing the post graduate program/master degree from IITs and various colleges including the NITs. The exam is conducted all over india. you can get GK publisher for preparing. Good luck. |

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering..after clearing this exam..u are eligible for admission into india's best colleges for M.tech like IITs or NITs or BITS..etc..this exam is meant for engineers who want to do specialization in their branch of b.tech..u can apply for GATE

GATE Eligibility
The candidates with following academic background are eligible to appear in GATE 2011 Examination: Bachelor's degree holders Engineering/ Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes. Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes. |

dear srikanthreddyalwai :thanks 4 t info u hav gvn. but pls tell me if there will be different exam paper 4 diff courses i.e u hav mentioned gate exam apers bt- biotech:ce-civil engg..........
i m going to join college waiting 4r my 12 results.&i hav a for btech biotech so should i write gate bt biotech?? |
