sir,
i have completed Bsc nautical science and received my coc[ 2nd mate]and my D.O.B is 26/11/1987 , is there a possibility for me to join the indian navy.

For joining Indian Navy you must be from Physics and Mathematics field. If you want to join after 10+2 then you must study 10+2 with physics and mathematics. Then you can apply for NDA&NA examination.The age limit for NDA Examination is 16.5 to 19 years and you must be an Unmarried male of India.

For joining Indian Navy after Graduation you can apply for CDS Examination which is conducted by UPSC every year. The age limit to join Naval Academy through CDS Examination is between 19 to 22 years.

There are non officers posts also for 10+2 passed with physics and maths. You can apply for posts like Artificier Aprrentice and Senior Secondary Sailors.

The selection in Indian Navy will be purely based on the written examination, SSB and medical examination.

For joining Indian Navy you should have very good physical and mental health.Eyesight should be of highest quality and you must not have any related to eyes like color blindness.

Hence be prepared for the examination if you want to join Indian Navy.

Hello dear,

As far as your age is a concerned for joining, you have lots of career options in Indian Navy. You have passed your B.SC. (nautical science) and you seemed to be around 25 years of age. So, you cannot apply for NDA neither as UES scheme.

>>You can apply for SSC(LOG) Entry.

Here is the eligibility criteria:-

>> Age: 19.5 To 25

>>you should be male, unmarried with 70% in your graduation.

If your age is above 26 then it might be a problem, other than SC/ST where they can be relaxed for upper age limit.
