There is no age limit to take Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering [GATE]. In order to take GATE, one must possess any of the following qualification:

Bachelor of Engineering

Bachelor of Technology

Bachelor of Architecture

Master of Science

Master of Computer Application

Integrated Master of Engineering

Integrated Master of Technology

No, it is not true as there is no restriction for no: of attempts.you may attempt it for so many times.

There is no age limit to appear in GATE examination.

but GATE score card is valid only for two years after the publication of GATE result. so if you have any good result in GATE then you have to take admission in M.Tech within two years of publication of GATE result.

There is no age limit to appear in gate examination. Elligibility to appear in gate examination is Bachelors of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology. There is also no limit for no of attempts for gate examination/.

GATE Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications :

The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear in GATE :
• Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

• Master degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

• Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.

• Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognised by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by IE(I), AMICE(I) by the Institute of Civil Engineers (India)-ICE(I)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

So competition is too tough for GATE exam , You should prepare well for GATE Exam .

If you have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or masters degree in science department are applicable for GATE Exam.There is no marks criteria.

There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply here maximum time.There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.

GATE score is valid for TWO years.3rd year student are NOT eligible for This year GATE exam.Only final year and pass out batch are eligible for 2013 GATE exam.

There is no age limit for GATE.If you are eligible to write GATE at any age you can write GATE.

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering conducted by IIT and Indian Institute of Science for admission to M.Tech. courses in IITs, NITs etc.

There is no maximum age restriction for application to GATE. Hence a candidate can apply for GATE irrespective of his/her age and there is also no restriction on number of attempts to GATE.

Apart from this the eligible candidate must be an Indian national having either appear for the final B.Tech. Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University, can apply for GATE.

GATE 2014 ELIGIBILITY:

The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear in GATE 2014 exam:

No, There is not any maximum age limit for giving the GATE exam.. You can give the GATE exam at any age after completing your B.Tech or in the final year of B.Tech course..

The GATE exam is one of the toughest exam in engineering discipline.. So there isn't any age limit in it..

--if you score well in this exam then you have a chance to get a job in reputed PSU's as NTPC, ONGC etc..
