Respected Sir, My son is 4 years and 8 months old at present and I want to admit him in class 1 CBSE Board so I want to know is he eligible at the age of 4 years to get admission in class 1? If no then what is the minimum age required to get admission? Please answer as soon as possible.

The minimum age required for the child to get admission in Class 1 in CBSE Board school is 5 years 6 months as on 31st March of the year of admission. Since, your son is 4 years 8 months old at present, he need to wait more 8 months to be eligible to get admission in Class 1 in CBSE Board school.

There is no age criteria declared by CBSE for admission in any school or in any class.

It is the responsibility of Directorates of State government to decide the age criteria for admission in any class.
