Yes your eligible to apply for Army academy after completing 12th standard . If your aspiring to apply for Indian Army then you should apply for NDA ( National Defence Academy ) Examination which is conducted by the ( Union Public Service Commission ) .

To apply for NDA Examination you should complete 12th standard in any discipline from recognized university .

For Navy and Airforce academy :- You should complete 12th standard in Science stream with Physics and Mathematics . Without the Science stream your not eligible to apply for NDA Examination .

Important :- Final year candidate may also eligible to apply for this Examination .

Your age should be 16.5 years to 19 years and There is no relaxation will application for any category candidates .

You should be Physically as well as medically fit for the NDA Examination, ie :- Eyesight , Height , and Weight etc..

You should be Unmarried male candidate . Female or Married male candidate are not eligible to apply for the Examination .


Syllabus for NDA Examination :-

-English Language
-General Ability
-Mathematics

Application Procedure :- You may apply for this Examination in online , you may download the Examination application from the official website of UPSC with cost of Rs. 50 and Free for sc/st candidates . The Important Notification for this Examination are published in employment news papers and official website of UPSC .


To crack the NDA Examination you may refer the books like, NDA Examination Guide by R.P Datason , NDA Examination practice book by Dr.R.H Sharma , NDA Examination work Book by Dr.M.B Lal etc.. You may also apply for the Coaching classes like, Cavalier India , Tara Institutes , New Career Academy , Test Bag Academy , and C.M.I Institute etc..

So, After completing 12th standard your eligible to apply for NDA Examination .

Physical Standards :-

NDA Stands National Defence Academy
Recruitment of candidates to army , navy & airforce wings of the NDA
NDA is held twice a year , generally in the month of April & September
NDA exam conducted by UPSC
The course of training is for three years
The candidate is required to give his preference for the service he wishes to join , however the final decision also depends on the rank he secures in the merit list

Candidates must be complete 12th stands
age between 16.5 to 19 years
unmarried male person & Indian

Dear friend

As you have mentioned that you are willing to join the Indian army and you have done your 10+2 with arts stream ,so for that you should go for the NDA examinations.

Coming to the NDA examinations:

NDA stands for the National defense academy .It is conducted by the UPSC twice every year by the UPSC for selection of candidates in to different wings of defense.

For this examination ,you must have passed your 10+2 from any recognized board with at least 60% of marks in it.

Since you are from arts stream ,so you are eligible for the Indian army only.

Now talking about age limitations:

The age limitations for the NDA exam is 16.5 to 19 years with no relaxation in age for any one .

Martial status,sex and nationality:

>>You must be unmarried male Indian citizen.

Coming to the examination pattern of NDA exams:

Since you are from arts stream so you need to labour hard so as to have good command over maths,general awareness ,english and science.

you may even join institutes for preparation like Baalnoi academy,Cavalier India,Disha academy etc.
