greetings,
If engineering the only option, then go for a long term coaching and give an attempt in the next year.
If he don't want to spare an academic year, ask him to go with a 3 year degree (BSc) and do Masters degree. It is equivalent and more valuable than engineering. By having masters degree, definitely your nephew will have an edge over an engineering student. Take a wise decision.

You have a no: of opportunities available after passing 12th class with science stream.You can go for medicine, engineering, medical transcription, BCA, etc. You can also take admission into NDA or even go for BSc (hons) and go into research later on.

if your nephew has not cleared AIEEE this year and if this is his 1st or 2nd chance
then he has a lot of apportunities regarding engineerig.
he can continue his preparation if possible and be careful that next year you should fill different state label forms of engineering.
mean while he can take addmision in any honours paper like physics or maths whatever is interest if he doesn't want any year gap risk.
if he is totally interested in taking addmision in an engineering collage then there are a lot of colleges like lovely profetion etc take direct addmision. you can try for that.
if he has interest in computer he can do BCA.
AADDMISION IS BASED ON EITHER 121th RESULT OR ENTRANCE TEST.
HE CAN ALSO PREPARE FOR CA IF HE HAS INTEREST IN IT.

What is the qualification of Ips officer ?

if you could not clear AIEEE dont worry about that, if you are interested in engineering then try hard for next year . if not then this year you can try out for other courses like BBA, BCA but i dont think that the forms are available any more. so do keep a track when these forms are available.
you can also try hotel management courses, or journalism or even other activities like try out for RJ.

You can simply BSC. This is three years graduate course.
If you choose technical line the you can give entrance examination of B Tech/BBA/BCA. B Tech is 4 years degree course. BBA/BCA is the 3 years undergraduate course.
Otherwise you can choose Hotel Management, Fashion designing, interior designing.

Though your nephew have not qualified AIEEE there are many options left, Most important thing you need to consider is that your nephew has scored 75% marks which is quite good and he may get admission in B.Sc hons. courses in Maths, Chemistry, Physics etc and even in Computer sciences, He can also do BCA from a recognised university . This would be a nice and a safe option for him as there are lot of oppertunities like..

1. Being a Teacher after persuing Masters.
2. Can join Software companies if he does BCA or B.Sc in CS.

There are lot more oppertunities so there's nothing to lose hope.

If he is Really Interested in Engineering then it wont be a bad option to send him out for a 1 year full time coaching at any reputed Study centers across India.
