Re: What is the percentage needed for 12th to get admission in Law colleges
Basically there are two types of Bachelor of legislative law offered on the basis of educational qualification and the duration of same course.
One of the LLB course is of three years for students having a bachelor's degree and other is the LLB course of five year for students having senior secondary degree. So being done your 12th you are eligible for the LLB five course for which there is no provision of minimum percentage required in the 12th to pursue the same course from many private universities with low rating. But for pursuing of this course from National Law universities and top private universities you have to compete for CLAT examination. CLAT stands for Common law admission test and the minimum requirement for appearing in this examination are as following :- * You must have done your 12th with any discipline from a recognized board with at least 50% aggregate in the same. Relaxation of 5% is provided to the SC/ST candidates. * Also your age must not exceed 20 years. Here also there is the relaxation of 2 years for SC/ST candidates. For more information regarding this examination and various law universities you can refer to the link www.clat.ac.in. |
