As you want to do Economics Hons then you need 12th with economics and should have 50% marks in economics after that you can apply for the admission in Economics Hons.
After UG you can also apply for the PG course in Economics this is beneficial for your career.

After that you can apply for the job in banking sector and also for IES exam which is special for Economics students. IES exam is conducted by UPSC and it is very tough exam.

So, for Economics Hons you need good college and for this many universities conduct entrance exam. You have to qualify that exam after you will get good university for this course.
