what is qualification for become IPS?...could u please give me the details

Graduation is the basic qualification required for IPS position. Age of the candidate must be less than 30 years. You can attend the exam at most 4 times within this age limit. Visual and physical standards should also be met, as mentioned by UPSC. Further details on eligibility can be collected from UPSC portal.

Degree qualified ones are eligible for the position of IPS Officer. Age of the applicant must be less than 30 years. Relaxation in upper age limit will be offered for reserved category candidates. For IPS Officer, eligible candidate should meet certain physical standards also. Detailed information can be collected from UPSC site.

IPS stands for Indian Police service.

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC.There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

Civil Service exam conduct for recruiting the candidate of IAS , IPS ,IRS persons.This exam is is one of the toughest exam in India.

Those candidate have completed graduation degree from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.Need not require any kind of percentage marks in IPS Exam .Final year student are applicable for IPS Exam.

The Candidate age should be in between 21 years to 30 years . Age Relaxation for OBC candidate is 3 years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum no of attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

IPS exam is consist of 3 process - Preliminary Exam . Mains Exam and Personal Interview .After mains exam they should conduct medical and physical test for the candidate.If you have cleared preliminary test then only you are eligible for mains exam.

Civil Services Exam notification is already released in UPSC website .I have listed the exam date for Civil Service Exam.Last date of Receipt of Application by post is 04.03.2013 .So for online application you may log intowww.upsconline.nic.in.

You can apply for this exam through online or offline by UPSC exam .The Cost of Examination Application form Rs.100/- for General and OBC candidates and Free for SC/ST candidates .

Who are wishing to Become an IPS Officer first of all have to complete their Graduation degree in any stream OR Pursuing Final year of Graduation can apply for it....

For that a candidate have to apply for Civil Service Examination it Consists Three stages:-
