Graduation is the basic qualification required for IPS position. Age of the candidate must be less than 30 years. You can attend the exam at most 4 times within this age limit. Visual and physical standards should also be met, as mentioned by UPSC. Further details on eligibility can be collected from UPSC portal.

Degree qualified ones are eligible for the position of IPS Officer. Age of the applicant must be less than 30 years. Relaxation in upper age limit will be offered for reserved category candidates. For IPS Officer, eligible candidate should meet certain physical standards also. Detailed information can be collected from UPSC site.

The civil services examination is the toughest examination of India. Civil services examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) for IAS, IPS, IRS,....
